- Manages the development, revision, and implementation of policies and procedures for operations department;
- Establishes operations department KPIs and methods to achieve them. Enforces the implementation of the company’s Quality, IMS, OSHMS systems and conduct required audits;
- Ensures efficient and timely transition from sales team to operations; plans mobilisation;
- Organises and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish operations activities; planning and coordinating daily operational needs with Maintenance team;
- Analyses field operations and formulates improvements to ensure compliance with local and state regulations; performs route planning, long-range planning for staffing needs, equipment replacement, and other operational requirements;
- Sets and monitors productivity, service and safety targets for each route and driver and site. Plans, distributes, monitors and follows up daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced per company standards and agreements;
- Selects and trains operations staff; assists supervisory staff in resolving operational or supervisory problems;
- Establishes standards, prepares annual performance plans, evaluates performance, and reviews performance evaluations prepared by subordinate supervisors; takes and approves disciplinary actions;
- Conducts weekly safety meetings to address key safety items/recent incidents. Manages end-of-day check-in process, capturing and communicating key service, safety and equipment issues;
- Drafts budget; prepares Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for equipment and services; represents the company in negotiations with vendors and service contractors, and participates in contract administration in disputed contractual matters;
- Prepares staff reports, including performance reports for presentation to Management;
- Handles customer service section; reporting, resolving and documenting of all complaints and ensures customer satisfaction;
- Dealing with Regulatory Authorities regarding applications, permits and obtain updates regarding guidelines/permit to practice waste management.
