Responsibilities:-
• To select the optimum plan and route for each flight, dependent on operations
Requirements, with emphasis on the cost implications of decisions made.
• Take accountability for, and has authority to make decisions on the acceptance of last
minute or delayed loads that could potentially delay flight departures.
• Follows the flight briefing and establishes, in consultation with the Director of Ground
Operations, when a delay is acceptable operationally and in line charter sales requirements.
• To plan each flight to uplift required payload and evaluate the requirement for 'Reduced
Reserve' operations in line with company policy, with emphasis on the cost implications of decisions made.
• Maintain full contact with the Executive Flight Centre (Dubai) via the tetra radio network
and/or the personal digital assistant (PDA) to allow full transparency of the critical path of the flight departure. This enables the Operational Control Centre to streamline the base
station and flight operations through effective tactical decision making.
• Co-ordinate offload of passengers and/or baggage with Executive Flight Centre (Dubai) to ensure that the flight schedule is maintained in accordance with schedules.
• To ensure that all ATC Flight Plans are filed as per regulatory requirements.
• To Flight Watch all IWA flights in line with GCAA Regulations.
• To liaise with handling agents, Station personnel and ATC when an IWA flight diverts.
• To monitor notam for the routes we fly and to take necessary action when airports, airways or airspace closures warrant it.
• To monitor Aircraft Defects, ensure that any Performance limitations are applied to the flight planning.
• Liaise with Operations Manager during operational disruptions and provide whatever
assistance is necessary.
• Liaise with Senior Management in the Company to ensure they are aware of any operational
problems or disruptions and as the main office open H24 provide whatever information or assistance Senior Management requires.
• Apply for Over-flight and Landing clearances, traffic rights, slots, PPR's necessary for operation.
• To ensure accuracy of post flight documents for each flight.
• Provide timely communication with clients/trip contacts, including specific trip information and movement reports.
• Assist and maintain protocol and boarding for VIP's and Royal family Member's at Executive
Lounges Namely Executive Flight Center Dubai and Jet Aviation Dubai.
