Good knowledge and expertise in Switching Technologies (VTP, STP, PVST, PVST+, RST, MST).

Sound knowledge and basic troubleshooting experience on Router Redundancy Protocols (HSRP, VRRP, GLBP).
Good understanding of MPLS Technology.
Configuration and installation of network devices including routers, switches.
Maintain documentation and network diagram.
Experience in a fast-paced support environment in a large enterprise networks as a member of a 24x7x365 network.
Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technologies and products, independently using documentation and online resources.

Analyzing alarms and open ticket depending on severity for all core network related alarms.
Managing Global Capacity's Core (backbone) network which includes high level redundant links (OC-12, OC-48, OC-192).
Proactive/reactive maintenance/troubleshooting and resolution of incidents referred by Problem Reports, Escalate to Level 2 Teams after due diligence
Critical Incident Resolution for all Network outages

Assist / Monitor / Validate Network change activities
Engaging appropriate support agency / resolution group. Sending proper and timely notifications to partners

Carry out maintenance activities for different kind of conversion request, integration, de-integration, Lift and lay, etc. as per guidelines
Work on preparation, understand Method of Procedure (MOP) and carry out all preliminary activities
Co-ordinate with Field Ops to get available date to carry out maintenance activities
Track third party maintenance and create, schedule maintenance task and notify end users accordingly against third party maintenance
Event/Incident documentation and Updating of Knowledge Database
Updating the database after every successful change (rehome/integration/de-integration/lift and lay) in the network, equipment or circuit.
Co-ordination with third party vendors for opening Technical assistance case / RMA. Third party vendors are Cisco, Ericsson, Fujitsu, Adtran, and Samsung
Troubleshooting of Routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting of Fortinet Firewalls like 5060, 5000.
