LMK Onsite PetrotechnicalConsultant for BP Libya at BP Libya
  • Libya - Tripoli
  • June 2009 to August 2010

Velocity modeling and QC using the Processing center provided first pass RMS and Migration velocity and conversion of horizon, grid and trace data to depth.
Trained the interpreter for time Structural mapping in Zmap Plus
Trained the new staff on horizon, structural interpretation, fault interpretation, Attribute computation and analysis and volumetric calculation using the Oil and Gas equations.
Responsible to resolve the Interpreters daily problems related to the Landmark G&G applications, also assist the Data Management staff in loading/unloading the Seismic and well data.
Helping/training the data management person about data loading, data and project management.
Performed petrophysical analysis using the different cutoffs for GR, DT logs and created the sand/shale percentage and thickness maps for seal analysis. Also generated isochore maps for seal analysis
Reprocessing the Xline from 3D survey to fix the static issues and get best Velocities. The processing includes geometry installation as a 2d line, noise attenuation using FK filter, amplitudes recovery using Surface consistent Amps, Elevation/Residual static correction, Interactive velocity analysis and CVS.
Created the Volumetric training module and trained/mentor the geophysicist and geologist. Calculated the BRV using ZMAP, then used the OOIP, OGIP equations using the BRV, Oil Saturation, Porosity, N/G ratio, scale factor, Bgi, FVF and RF parameters for Oil and Gas volume calculation
Visiting support to Winter Shell Libya:
• Provided the ProMAX visiting support and fixed the chief Geophysicist issues related to Finite Difference Modeling.
