Supervision, Planning and implementation of all Mechanical activity in order to optimize production within safety, legislative, environmental and company requirements.
Supervise the Offshore Mechanical Department, liaising with Production.
Responsible for organizing and planning the routine maintenance of all onboard equipment, plant and systems within safety and budgetary constraints
Responsible for directing the activities of mechanical staff to a high loss control standard in accordance with the company safety regulations and procedures, in order to minimize the risk of personal injury, environmental damage, and asset damage.
Review and rationalize Preventative Maintenance procedures, evaluate and optimize maintenance routines along with other onboard Operational personnel and onshore support staff
Carry out Permit to work tasks as Area Authority for designated area and conduct toolbox talks/ Job safety analysis as required.
Regularly review and monitor compliance with safe work systems and maintenance procedures.
Assists the Maintenance team with evaluation of equipment performance when requested.
Carried out inspection of mechanical parts and prepare report accordingly.
Writing technical reports and maintaining repair records.
Carried out troubleshooting and replace the defect parts.
Other clerical responsibility.
Prepare daily maintenance report
Maintain plant maintenance for barge equipment as per plant work orders.
Maintain the equipment hours meter reading daily weekly and monthly basis for monitor the engine overhaul.
Maintain third party certificate for all barge fixed/mobile equipment’s.
Assist to third party third party Velosi GL/TUV for Recertification of onboard equipment’s.
Prepare work permit, hot work, confined space entry, cold work etc before starting the job.
Prepare significant repair report on monthly basis.
Prepare job cards and way bills for equipment’s transfer.
Maintain and send sample for analysis of diesel fuel, generator used oil, grease ets.
Check and maintained the filters stock level as per onboard equipment’s.
Receive spare parts of onboard equipment’s and maintained the list and record.
Update/maintain onboard library.
Developing, testing and make modifications to mechanical equipment.
Assisting with Mechanical Installations.
Completing all duties according to applicable safety measures and published procedures.
Keeping an up to date inventory of mechanical tools.
Identifying malfunctions and then carrying out repairs.
Repairing or replacing defective equipment parts.
Carrying out preventative maintenance.
Keeping the workplace in an organized and clean condition.
Operating computer-controlled industrial equipment.
Cleaning and lubricating gears, shafts, bearings and other machinery parts.
