is a global shipping company based in the Middle East. UASC is currently implementing one of the industry's largest and most technologically advanced new building programs, with seventeen new vessels on order; six 18, 800 TEU and eleven 15, 000 TEU containerships.
Primary Work responsibilities
Involved in UASC's vendor/transporter/terminal selection process & contract drafting till finalization.
•Arranging sublease of equipment & supervising the import/export documentation procedure under UASC Head office arrangement to “White Line LLC “ a Dubai-UAE based NVOCC.
•Responsible for monthly reporting of Container Overdue, Equipment Forecast Report, Monthly Statistics of ICD logistic movements and monitor day to day repair & maintenance of containers.
•Managing carrier/merchant haulage operations to inland locations, take up cases with import customer services team/ upcountry offices/ load port/transporters/clients & terminals as per need.
•Proper liaison with head office logistics team to arrange empty repositioning in/out as per export need and ensure high equipment turn around.
•Safeguarding UASC's local commercial interests and ensure no overseas claims.

Work responsibilies:
•Played a key role in the successful integration of CP Ships & Hapag Lloyd's equipment fleet.
•Planning and steering of equipment by arranging movement to needed/deficit locations by using bi modal means of transport i.e. Train & trucks.
•Evaluate import/export cycles, adjusting equipment restitution/pick up points as and when needed.
•Analyze, compare depot inventories, country wide and plan equipment requirements.
•Assign, confirm export positioning depot, sending release message to terminal, monitoring turn-around-times and tracing overdue equipment in the country.
•Assisting Equipment Control and M&R Team in other department functions from time to time.
•Arranging Onhire, sub lease of equipment, negotiating with equipment leasing companies/other shipping lines for cost effective steering of end of term leased equipment to off hire/drop off location, within the U.K & continental Europe.
Equipment Management System (EMS-TRUST) Module
Attended the MER (Middle East Region) EMS-TRUST training module representing Delta Shipping/UASC Pakistan Office at UASC's Corporate/Head Quarters- Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was involved in giving inputs to the new windows based system/I.T systems, business improvement processes & also received side by side hands on training. Was responsible for its local system set up and successful day to day running (i.e. during the transition from AS400 based TCON system to Windows/Java based TRUST system.

Involved in Trade & Pricing, our team's objective was to maximize high contribution cargo with the right cargo mix with less tonnage, mitigate special rate requests to trade office to help attain high contribution margin.
Work responsibilities:
•Preparing weekly Export Performance Report covering all sectors offered by Hanjin Shipping.
•Maintaining close contact with freight forwarders/shippers enabling carrier to be well aware of their commercial requirements (especially transit time/ rate requirements in view of market competition)
•Analyzing rates & tariff's and market trends, for non-standard rate levels sending shipper's proposed rate request online to obtain approval of such rate requests from trade management office and to further process request as and when required.
•Manage vessel space as per head office cargo allocated export tonnage, maintain trade related statistics and follow up on previous quotations to obtain business.
