DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Installation, testing, commissioning, trouble shooting of 33/11 KV substation equipment, switchgear. Transformer, control/relay panel etc.
2. Carried out all type of electrical test of 33/11 KV transformer such as IR value of transformer, winding resistance of primary and secondary winding, ratio measurement and check the vector group, calibrate the winding and oil temperature indicator, polarization, oil over voltage withstand test etc.
3. 33 KV switchgear insulation resistance, circuit breaker insulation resistance, circuit breaker contact resistance, circuit breaker close and opening resistance, CB closing and opening timing test, bus bar contact resistance and high voltage pressure test, current and voltage transformer insulation resistance test are carried out.
4. Carried out of 11KV switch gear testing like 33KV switch gear testing as above.
5. Carried out of all functional check 33 and 11KV switch gear and check the bus voltage scheme.
6. Check the 33KV bus bar earthling interlock and closing interlock between 33KV and 11KV switch gear.
7. Laying of control cable from switch gear to control panel, gland in and wiring as per the wiring list.
8. Installation, wiring & commission of battery chargers.
9. Installation and commissioning of RTU for SCADA and SCADA checks.
10. Laying of 33 kV and 6.6/11 KV single core power cable inside 33 KV substation.
11. Established the Arc-protection system in the existing 33KV switch gear panel.
12. Co-ordination with Protection & Commissioning section for their pre-commissioning work.
13. Adding of 33 KV TRANSFORMER & FEEDER panel with existing panel and internal modification work.
14. Installation, testing and supervision of 33 kV and 11 kV Capacitor Bank
Works.
15. Modification of pilot protection circuit in control panel fixing guard relay before
Pilot protections relay (Solker R) CT circuit and then testing as per present requirement.
16. Testing of pilot cable taking measurement of loop resistence, inductance & capacitance under shut down.
17. Replacement of 6.6/11 KV 10 MVA old panel ( VEEM, SOUTH WELLS) by 15 MVA TAMCO panel inside the live sub station under partly shut down.
18. Replacement of 33KV Switch Gear and Control panel (old ENERGOINVEST. BBC, MITSUBISHI Panel) by ABB new panel inside the substation under partly shut down.
19. Follow Safety regulation and procedure for talking shutdowns and outage before stating site work
Worked Under Emergency Maintenance Section

Duration Six month at cable testing section.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Carrying out LV, HV& EHV cable testing, cable fault location & rectification works using the sophisticated cable fault locating Instrument/equipment.
2. Attending Underground power & Pilot Cable Identification, route tracing, Insulation Resistance test, capacitance measurement and Continuity test during cable fault location/repairs.
3. Conducting High voltage AC, DC & VLF test on cables and Bus bar for the purpose of Voltage conversion, Circuit modification, pre commissioning and preventive maintenance.
4. Supervision of excavation group and jointing groups during excavation/Cable laying and Jointing/termination works.
5. Carrying out live phasing activities in 11kv networks wherever applicable followed by the safety rules.
6. Attending and assisting Engineer/Supervisor during attending emergency breakdown for Switch gear, Transformer, RMU, circuit Breaker and Isolator, to restore the power supply at the earliest.
7. Effectively troubleshooting, , fault finding, testing, repair and diagnosis the failure of Electrical Equipment and control Systems.
8. Attending Emergency/Schedule replacement work of RMU, Transformer and LVDB in the event of Fire/Flashover or Severe Oil leakage.
9. Carrying out safe and reliable Operation of Fuse switches, Isolator Switches and Earth Switches of RMU and Circuit Breaker During rectification/Repair works.
10. Carrying out functional test for 11&33kv C.B like contact resistance measurement, vacuum test, opening/closing timing test, opening/closing coil resistance measurement, Local/Remote operation etc.to avoid such incident during energization.
11. Preparing and carrying out schedule outage of Circuit breaker, Transformer, Ring Main Unit, LVDB and Switchgear.
12. Identifying over loaded circuits, condition monitoring of underground Cable system.
13. Preparation of cable fault reports, test reports, Failure analysis reports and recommendations.
14. Maintaining daily office work such as site activities, safety record, and Vehicle check list, Maintenance record of test Equipment/Instrument, Reconcilement of Jointing Materials and substation equipment spare Through Orion System and store related works.
WORKED UNDER PROTECTION AND COMMISSIONING SECTION

1) Carried out the different types of relay testing live and dead panel for commissioning work.
2) Different types of relay setting and configuration.
3) Primary injection for 11/6.6kv and 33KV switch gear as a pre commissioning test.
4) CT Mac curve, polarity test and ratio check
5) CT, VT IR value measuring.
6) Energy meter, amp meter, volt meter testing and setting.
7) Pilot cable loop resistance measuring.
8) Circuit Breaker closing and opening time measuring.
9) Bus-bar joint resistance measuring.
10) Preparing for all types of test report.
