I have worked for two years as a Shift Engineer/Production executive with one of the pioneer of papersacks manufacturer in Pakistan, manufacturing multi-ply cement sacks as well Industrial Sacks for food gradients items. Working at Thal Limited Pakistan Papersack Division, a group company of House of Habib. I utilized my strong analytical skills to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that reduced downtime and improved productivity. Furthermore, my strong leadership and communication skills have allowed me to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, QHSE, admin and dispatches departments.
While Working at Thal Limited, I managed and developed my expertise in planning and scheduling of production orders, leading production team and maintained shop floor workforce, machines availability and raw materials, maintaining production & dispatches reports, implemented daily and weekly 5S & Kaizen activity, executed monthly GEMBA walks, accomplished monthly closing and audits of production orders, discussing troubleshooting of machines with maintenance lead, implemented hourly quality checks in order to achieve production as per product specification and quality limits, performed time study for job changing in order to reduce idle time, improve efficiency and reduced wastage.
During my Bachelors I have studied Industrial Engineering courses related to optimization. I have worked on CADCAM design, studied Project management, Operation Research, Operations of Manufacturing systems, Quality controls and Statistics. Attended seminars on "professional trend of Industrial Engineering". Worked on time & motion study project. My Final Year Project was based on environmental aspects, shifting the existing shopping bags manufacturing industry to the environment friendly Bio degradable shopping bags, based on economical and quality parameters.
