To coordinate among Economics and Technical sections to formulate Economic Vision, 5 Year Plans, Annual Plans etc and to conduct various important ministerial meetings including, APCC, IPCC, Advisory Committe meetings. To coordinate for Economic Coordination Committe meeting headed by Minister of Finance, National Economic Council meeting headed by Prime Minister and Council of Common Interest head by Prime Minister of Pakistan.
1. To carry out applied and theoretic research pertaining to monetary, macro and financial issues related to Pakistan economy.
2. To teach and work as trainer for various courses offered by the institute.
3. To organize seminars and conferences on national issues with the advice and cooperation of government of Pakistan.
4. To work as administrative head of Economics and Finance, an academic department which offers M.Phil in Economics and Finance degree.
To work as Head of Project ' Development Analysis and Strategic Policy'. The main role was to write an Economic and Finance Report on the progress of Brunei's Economic Vision 2035.
To carryout applied and theoretical research pertaining to monetary, macro and financial sectors of the economy particularly but may not be limited to Pakistan.
Teaching Graduate Economics courses and students' research supervision (since PIDE has dual role now, a think tank as well as a university)
To organize seminars and workshops on relevant issues pertaning to Pakistan economy.

MSc Thesis on " Measuring tax elasticity and buoyancy of federal taxes in Pakistan."
