Responsible for ensuring tactical management of all the project execution as defined in applicable project plan and that project deliverables meet or exceed stakeholder expectations and corporate quality requirements, are produced on time and are within budget.
Projects managed to date include:
• Setting up a call centre (800 people) in Poland. This involved shutting down the existing call centre in the US and sourcing and setting up new premises in Warsaw.
• Creating a Point of Presence (PoP’s) data centre in London and Frankfurt to enhance connectivity for all European offices
• Implementation of an MPLS connection from all European offices to the data centre
Responsibilities:
• Manage day to day activities associated with one or more simple projects, ensuring that business solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and that they meet corporate standards.
• Create, revise and maintain project and resource plans, as well as schedules, and any other deliverables or procedures required by the methodology.
• Communicate effectively and consistently with all project stakeholders and all project team members as well as plan for and coordinate the consumption of project-related IT services including, but not limited to, development resources, Quality Services, Technical Services, Program Management, Release Management, Environment Management and other applicable BT and IT management as necessary.
• Ensure that projects assigned operate within the governance and oversight guideline prescribed by MGI with respect to budget, scope, and timeliness.
• Escalate issues to Program Management quickly and appropriately.
• Comply with MGI audit and process.
• Ensure successful deployment of product, including internal implementation and business readiness activities for external launch.
• Project team management. Actively manage and lead project teams to execute projects, demonstrating sound judgment, critical thinking skills, leadership and a sense of urgency.
• Initiate and actively facilitate team meetings and issue resolution involving the right parties to resolve problems. Effectively manage team to complete projects, including coaching, delegating, providing feedback and resolving conflicts and problems.
• Foster a team environment of shared ownership in the execution of the project. Ensure adherence to standard project time reporting, quality practices and audit compliance.
• Analyse and communicate project or program status using standard and specific project management analysis techniques for budget and schedule variance. This includes but is not limited to the generation and publication of Project Status Reports.
• Maintain and always keep up to date all project relevant budget, schedule, and resource information within the portfolio management tool (Artemis).
• Ensure the completion of standard project communications and deliverables such as project charters, issues logs, risk management and implementation plans.
• Analyse current and new project management processes and procedures to identify the most efficient and inexpensive ways to complete projects to meet the business and stakeholder objectives.
• Participate in either formal or informal education of non-PMO resources on project management practices at MGI and in the industry.
• Establish and maintain a strong partnership with internal customers to fully understand the business and their technological needs.
• Evaluate and make recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness and customer service, reduce costs and provide a competitive advantage.
