Roles & Responsibilities:
As a member of Retrocession & Protection Team: 13th August 2013 to Date
• Treaty & Facultative Underwriting of assigned Domestic & Foreign Cedants
• Review and Analysis Report to the Management/Board
• Facilitating Internal & External Auditors and CAG
• Quote Analysis of offers received from Brokers/Retrocessionaires /Reinsurers/Cedants as per GIC Re’s UW Guidelines
• Claims Analysis, Reporting, Recovery & Documentation for Non-Marine Retrocession Programmes
• Data Analysis, Comparative Analysis of Quotes, Presentations, Reports & Notes to UW Committee, Executive Committee - As and when required
• Exposure Report, Accumulation Report and various other MIS Reports
• Data Pack Preparation for Non-Marine Retrocession Programmes
• Complete Documentation of all transactions as per company’s policy
• Co-ordinate with Accounts Team and Brokers/Retrocessionaires /Reinsurers/Cedants for Accounts reconciliation
• Involved in query resolutions of the Executive Committee, Underwriting Committee, Reinsurers, Brokers, Accounts Team and Auditor
As a member of Asia Team & Africa Team: 6th February 2012 To Date
• Quote Analysis of offers received from brokers/cedants as per GIC Re’s UW Guidelines
• Underwrite Inward Reinsurance Treaty and Facultative offers from assigned countries
• In-depth analysis of the terms & conditions of final quote before releasing to the brokers/cedants.
• Claims Analysis, Reporting, Reserving, Settlement & Documentation Management
• Answer Audit Queries raised by Auditors
• Prepare Exposure Reports, Team Performance Report for immediate seniors
• Claims Intimation to the concerned team for recovery/information affecting Outward Programmes
Key Achievements:
• Designed the Template for Facultative Underwriting for Property Class of Business
• Deeply involved in “GIC Re's Structured Solutions (ART) Programme 2014-15”
• "Virtual Promotion" in the form of transfer from Inward Desk to Outward Desk
