Optical transmission engineer handling DWDM/OTN/SDH equipments. Troubleshooting TAC level issues of Optical transmission.
Responsible for Optical transmission system planning, operations & maintenance.
Fault management in Network operation center (NOC) for GSM & CDMA networks,
SDH, PDH, DWDM technologies (troubleshooting, operations & maintainence)
24/7 alarms monitoring of Optical fiber network, microwave, SDH & DWDM equipments
TAC 2 level troubleshooting at NOC level
Assistance to Field technicians & engineers for fault analysis & rectifications
Plan design & optimise network performance from time to time
Maintaining MTTR (Mean time to restoration) & providing RCA/RFO when required
SDH & DWDM equipments- ECI, Fibcom, Nortel, Huawei
• Handling ECI NMS (Network Management System) transmission
• NMS operations of Transmission Equipments, Mapping of E1’s & Maintenance of the same of over 1200 Mux’s.
• Well Equipped with ECI equipments(XDM-1000, XDM-500, XDM-100, XDM-50, BG-20 & BG-30).
• E1 Provisioning and handling Alarm monitoring on ECI NMS.
• Troubleshooting of problems escalated by Field Maintenance engineer.
• Interaction with network implementation as well as other operators for integration & modification of bandwidth.
• Configuration of GB over IP & OSS over IP
• Coordinating with Node Engineer for Organising planned events, NE addition/upgrading as per requirements, resolving Trouble ticket within MTTR .
• Ensure fault resolution in line with Operational processes and agreed KPIs
• Provide Network Failure/Performance related reports as and when required.
Accountable for leading executive team and reporting to NLD / ILD Lead (O&M Head)
In charge for the operations allied with troubleshoot of SDH circuits ranging from E1 to STM-64 bandwidth using SDH alarm analysis in network
Handling the activities associated with closing the fault ticket by troubleshooting and maintaining the MTTR
Alarm monitoring & troubleshooting faults through NMS.
Managing the process linked with provisioning, integrating, operations and maintaining SDH equipment, Provisioning of E1, Loop verification
Answerable for Testing and commissioning end-to-end transport circuit.
Interacting with field engineers on solutions to troubleshoot and repair complex circuits, equipment configuration, optical link losses, hardware faults and PDH faults.
To co-ordinate with field engineers on solutions to troubleshoot and repair complex circuits, equipment configuration, optical link losses, hardware faults and PDH faults
Coordinating planned Event activities carried out for preventive or corrective, maintaining the network and fault records in OSS
To co-ordinate with different groups in the NNOC such as CDMA, Switch, DCN, OSP to minimize MTTR (Mean time To Restoration)
