Umm Al-Qura Company for Development and construction was established by the decision of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry by an important national partnership between the public and private sectors.

The Project, which is being implemented by UAQ for Development & Construction Company, Masar Destination covers an area of approximately 1.2 million square meters. The Project Site, which lies directly on Makkah's western approach, stretches approximately 3.65km from the Third Ring Road intersection with Umm AI Qura Road to the Jabal Omar development just west of the Haram with an average width of 320m

The centerpiece of the Masar Destination is a grand pedestrian boulevard of up to 60m in width that would be flanked on both sides with 211 commercial lands by hotels and residential apartments when completed, serviced by an underground metro system and stations. The project provides a connection from the Haramain Railway Station to the Haram.
