Handing the global investment role with over 10 years insightful experience across the logistics, Port and Shipping industries through the region, help me to support the leadership in translating the company's investment/ growth strategy into business opportunities and executing them with excellence, this entails the following :

- In accordance with the approved strategy, conduct a full "markets in-scope" analysis to come up with potential logistics & ports development business opportunities.
- Engage with potential business partners to collect data (political, financial, technical, legal, regulatory related, ...etc) necessary for the initial screening of the opportunity.
- Conduct a comprehensive feasibility study covering all aspects including: political, financial, legal, regulatory, ...etc to recommend the go/not to go decision.
- Lead all communications with business partners to ensure effective structuring and execution of the deal.
- Ensure the deal is executed with excellence from MOU to an operational port through the appointment of the contractor and ensuring the project is inline with financial and technical specs.

Exposure to supply chain, insurance, shipping operations, logistics, container terminal operations, customer service, commercial, procurement, Store & inventory management, ERP implementation in addition to due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.

- Timely and accurate preparation of consolidated monthly and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS.
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
- Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
- Provide leadership to the team of 35 staff encompassing finance, sales and purchases, fixed assets, group reporting, treasury management, insurance, store and inventory management.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, prepare financial forecasts, report variances, forecast cash flow positions and monitor the variations in company’s financial performance compared to the budget.
- Ensure adequate controls are in place, i.e. policies, procedures
- Authorize bank payments, approve purchase orders and approve invoices for payment; manage and support the ledger team including reconciling bank statements/accounts and booking entries to general ledger.
- Oversee both internal and external audits including Comptroller & Auditor General audits and liaise with various stakeholders as appropriate.
- Set up procedures and follow up for the company claim with the insurance company; review voluminous documents relating to insurance claims, check on the status of insurance claim files and ensure that claims have been paid out in a proper manner.
- Monitor operational performance while identifying areas of improvement and cost-reduction opportunities.
- Perform a variety of advanced financial analyses to determine present and forecasted financial health of the company; present potential scenarios and outcomes to the senior management.
