I joined Al Fanar Co as a Sr. SAP Technical Consultant in November 2012. Al Fanar operates construction and manufacturing businesses, design & development centers and a host of facilities in the Middle East and other countries.
My Responsibilities
▪ Manages architecture, design, and development in multiple landscape
▪ Provides technical leadership and is responsible for reviewing and further evolving the development standards, framework, guidelines, and approach
▪ Provide resource estimates to ensure we have the right number and type of people working on projects
▪ Ensure that functional and technical designs are being prepared in compliance with our Software Development Lifecycle
▪ Track and publish development quality metrics
▪ Collaborates with the Integration team to support the integration of SAP with the new and emerging technologies
▪ Builds proactive, responsive relationships with the IT team members and business users to understand upcoming business needs and provides visibility into the development capacity planning and utilization
▪ Designs, develops, and implements quality solutions across the application landscape that
▪ are maintainable, leveraging reuse as is appropriate
▪ Primary advocate for the appropriate use of development, customization and related best practices
▪ Oversees quality of deliverables (including design, code and development reviews) and follows the stipulated change control processes and release/transport management schedules
▪ Works closely with the management team to enhance application capabilities, improve processes and procedures, and institutionalize good application life cycle practices
▪ Manages resource allocation, capacity utilization and delivery of the development teams
▪ Manages work efforts of team members (onsite and offshore) and provides mentorship and guidance to encourage success and growth
▪ Responsible for SAP CRM / Mobility custom development
▪ Business Workflows development using BO and Classes (Area: MM, FI, SD, CRM, QM, HCM)

I started my SAP career with Siemens Pakistan Eng. Co. Ltd. as a Technical Specialist of SAP R/3(ABAP). Siemens has been in business of SAP implementation solution since 1998. Since 2007 I have been allocated to the following projects mainly in Oil & Gas, Petroleum, FMCG, Packaging, Pharmaceutical and Automobile sector.
