• Execute dual role as Head of Electrical Department (HOD-Electrical) and Project manager (PM) for Electrical Works.
Recruit, build and manage a team of professional engineers and technician to service all the Electrical projects in the company.
Provide strong leadership, including strategic planning of projects, financial planning, management of human and physical resources, supervision of the department in compliance with appropriate company and client standards and procedures.
• Develop all the processes and standard operating procedures relative to each job category and activity within the department, and outline mapping conducive for the entire team force in the department to work as a collaborative team for successful execution of Electrical projects.
• Setting up realistic expectations on targets and develop strategies for the output of work relative to time schedules and qualities.
• Prepare & negotiate electrical variations claims.
• Assign responsibilities and define deliverables of each team member in the Department.
• Conduct electrical engineering works, Electrical Shop Drawing, Material Submittal, Procurement, Site Meetings, technical & Installation Support, Project Progress Monitoring, Safety rules, Authorities regulations, as built, Testing And Commissioning, Operation & Hand-over.

• Assist the Project Manager and responsible for the engineering quality, workmanship and effective execution of the project (trade package, M, E or P) in accordance with the set timelines and budget.
• Ensure that the project meet the specified and agreed standards in accordance with company’s Quality standard Procedure.
• Check, prepare and maintain the Material Submittal & shop drawing Flow sheets in conjunction with the project manager
• Obtain quotations from suppliers. Evaluate offer and prepare comparative statements.
• Provide engineering inputs and supports to the draughtsman in the preparation the shop drawings, review and approve shop drawings.
• Review comments received from consultant on material submittal and shop drawings. Prepare and organize re-submittal as required.
• Take-off material quantities from the approved drawings and prepare material requisition/s.
• Ensure that all materials are ordered in time so that progress on site is not interrupted or delayed.
• Plan labor requirements based on the construction program and provide requirements to the project manager.
• Visit and discuss compliance issues and matters with the relevant authorities i.e. DM, DEWA, CIVIL DEFENCE, TECOM, JAFZA etc
• Submit and obtain approval from relevant authorities i.e. DM, DEWA, Civil Defense, Jafza…etc
• Prepare regular progress Reports and submit to the Project Manager.
• Attend scheduled meetings as advised by the Project Manager with other parties i.e. Client, consultant, Main Contractor, Authorities etc
• Plan, prepare and document Testing and Commissioning Plans and supervise all related commissioning activities.
• Rectify and couplet Snags prior to final Handover.
• Responsible for mentoring, guiding and evaluating Site engineers, Forman and Supervisory staff.
• Responsible for, in co-ordination with the Site engineers, Supervisors and Forman, Work execution.
• Review and monitor monthly labor performance and utilization against the planned targets.
