-Worked as a Software Engineer in Clifton Myers Enterprises (CME), which is a multinational company with branches in the US, China, Lebanon, Argentina, and India. I was first assigned for defect solving and enhancements, we development on CMP (Tangoe project), using: Java, HTML, Bea web logic, Eclipse, Apache Ant, MS SQL server (2000-2005) and Oracle (9i-10G).
-My second assignment was to a work on a new and important client for CME which was Thomson Elite which is a sister company of Thomson Reuters. All the while working on SQL scripting and data analysis and conversion. I was responsible for creating complex scripts data for conversions and working with OQL, object query language, to perform SQL transactions using VB.net. During this time, I was also partly responsible for developing and automating the conversion process by creating a framework to help conversion specialists do their work without having to script the transactions themselves.
-When another project was obtained for Thomson Elite, the ‘Customization’ project, they needed people with experience to get this project on its feet. So I was assigned to this new team. My responsibilities included customizing the product that Thomson Elite sells to its clients to fit their work flow. This was achieved by writing custom code, implementing, testing, and merging custom code with the clients’ environments as needed.
I was also responsible for technical correspondence with the clients and the project managers and Thomson.
I was later responsible for technical analysis and systems design related to Thomson Reuters projects and had a profound impact on many high profile clients for Thomson. I was also responsible for designing financial algorithms that would work as metrics that the client would use to extract financial data from.
Customer Support, Software Development
-Factory Resource Management System: This system handles production, suppliers, customers, orders, production line modules, extrusion modules, time tracking, mailing lists, quantities and warehouse configurations, currencies, employee and production rates, performance gauges, security and access rights.
I developed this system from A to Z + the Database design.
This was in VB.net 2003/SQL 2000, then I migrated the code to VB.net 2005/SQL 2005
-Worked on a PDA (WM5 2005/2003). This solution was aimed for sales force automation. This system was linked to the ERP which would be the back office system. The system would handle transactions (Sale, credit and debit notes, item management, and transaction orders).It was implemented as a batch system and online system.(this was in VB.netcf 2003/ SQL server 2000)
-Worked on an application to integrate a GPS module with the PDA solution to communicate with the machine via serial port, decrypt the data and calculate proximity to certain geographical fences. Also to validate salesman movements and suggest routing and potential customers.
Relevant information would be sent online and saved on a server DB(C#2005/SQL2005)
-Worked on developing an accounting system to handle generation of journal vouchers for 150 companies. This system manages accounts, budgets, balances and automatic invoice/journal voucher generation.
-Worked on crystal reports versions(6, 9, 10, 11) developing various reports
-Worked on supporting applications for an ERP(C# /sql2005).These applications are numerous and they were custom solutions to support customer-specific requirements.
- I designed and developed a CRM (customer resource management) project. I also designed and analyzed a company's work flow cycle, and designed a system which can be responsible for organizing this flow.
-Other technologies I worked on include :(Borland Delphi (5 and 7), Borland C++ builder, ASP.net 2005, foxpro, VB6, Borland Dbase.
