Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing the Company’s land based transport operations via a 4PL consortium.
• Strategic Sourcing and diversification (optimization) of the R&P Supply Chain
• Worked on both Full Service and 3PM models
• Responsible for identifying and implementing logistics strategy, management systems and process improvements
• Developing process enhancement & simplification tools while leading the Work Process Improvement (WPI) Pillar.
• Strategic Sourcing for Plant Facilities and Contracted Labor.
• Consolidating Supplier Database
• Responsible for negotiating and maintaining Contracts and Service Agreements with Customers.
• Drafting and negotiating contracts for logistics services
• Cost Control for all logistics contracts
• Designing process and team workflows to improve efficiency and customer service
• Managed logistics for large-scale EPC contracts, up to $100M in value, with major international contractors
• Monitoring customs clearance and shipping progress with logistics service providers (freight forwarders and PROs) through daily outstanding reports till final delivery to the destination
• Dangerous & Non Dangerous goods imports (Radioactive Materials- RAM, Explosives) and organizing armed escort for hazmat movements.
This position is responsible for effective implementation of plans, policies and procedures for the provision of imported goods supporting overall business objectives. Some of the important KPI's are as follows:
• Conduct meeting with supplier to resolve Material related issues.
• IRA Calculation (Inventory Record Accuracy) and maintaining it up to (98-100) %.
• Coordinate with Material Planner and Master Scheduler in Overall Production Planning.
• Coordinate with Finance in STOCK TACKING and Preparing Monthly Closing and Material Consumption report.
• Tracking of New Orders and Status of Incoming Orders.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance for on time Approval of Material, Re-Testing of Raw Material, and Material Shelf Life Analysis.
• FIFO (First in First Out) Control and Monthly Analysis.
• Complete Scheduling of Local Raw & Packing Materials.
• Negotiate with suppliers on contract issues as required in order to ensure improvement on cash flow: actual cost savings, cost avoidances, or efficiency gains as validated by the buyer and finance.
• Perform different types of analysis such as competitive, industry, supplier analysis. Initiate and implementing sourcing strategies on local/imported raw and pack material.
