Contributing to the delivery of in-year target through tight forecasting and control of financial and non-financial data, and deep understanding of assumptions, that provides the leadership team of B2C with a robust view of projected outturn
Working with the Finance team to provide regular and ad-hoc reports and analysis that provide a clear view of past and future performance
Working with the B2C Energy Field Sales and Marketing teams, providing information that directly influences pricing, marketing and acquisition plans, for both energy and non-energy products in order to deliver in-year targets
Supporting the Principal Margin Analyst to determine, deliver and document B2C assumptions for the (Medium Term Plan) MTP process; undertaking analysis in order to challenge assumptions, where necessary, and validate B2C targets
Working with Finance and the B2C Marketing team to provide information that directly influences future plans, in order to deliver improvements in profitability
Working with the Pricing team to ensure that prices adhere to Ofgem requirements such as cost reflective price differentials between payment methods
Supporting the competitor analysts in Margin Management and other parts of EDF Energy by providing analysis of competitor issues, revenues, costs and profitability as required
Main responsibility of conducting in depth commercial analysis, supporting the decision making process and reaching agreements on the development and review of a number of key commercial and pricing decisions whilst reporting to Commercial Pricing Manager
Providing business case and margin analysis for new portfolio launches and price changes, successfully restructuring a number of offerings such as Fixed Price, Variable and Discounted Variable products
Supporting the development of new propositions, challenging inputs and methodology in business case production in order to achieve desired results
Assessing options and providing recommendations for key business decision makers, building pricing models based on customer behaviour and latest assumptions
Demonstrating ownership of business case for reviews of Existing Propositions along with other commercial decisions and effectively evaluating the impact analysis of the various risks and sensitivities, some of which may be non financial and subjective in nature
Providing pricing information for billing systems, as well as responding to pricing and commercial requests from the PR, Marketing and Regulatory departments clearly and efficiently
Analysing sales, customer switching and renewal activities from a commercial and pricing perspective, providing Best Deal For You (BDFY) monthly assessments for senior stakeholders
Monitoring competitor activity and assessing the impact on E.On proposals, as well as providing monthly reports on key competitor activities
Achievements
Successfully re-structured and/or re-priced a number of product offerings during project Tempest such as Staywarm (Fixed Price product), Energy Discount (Discounted Variable product), Age UK Standard and High User (Variable products).
Playing a pivotal role in delivering BDFY customer offerings, providing simpler and more manageable products for customers, resulting in a 150% increase in sales and switching to E.On
Successfully creating and establishing the Price Schedulator model in Microsoft Excel, providing concise pricing schedules for brokers and customers
o Building Cost to Serve Customer model for B2C division, following analysis of company accounts, to help it identify the costs incurred to serve different customer segments, and adjust pricing accordingly
o Recommending new pricing strategies and discount structures based on findings of model and in-depth study of pricing trends in national and international markets
Successfully leading high-tech laboratory projects for Biotechnology and Material Science research, from initial planning stages through to execution and completion. Major Projects include Transmission Electron Microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope and Scanning Probe Microscope Research facilities
Monitoring job schedules and acting as key point of communication between international suppliers of the machines and researchers, employees, sub-contractors and customers from industry
Monitoring schedules for the foreign engineers of the companies to install, commission and test the equipments and later for the training of the staff and researchers
