Successful delivery of service management solutions - Mobily (Etihad Etisalat)
I led the implementation and delivery of quality and performance monitoring solution for Mobily (Etihad Etisalat). I was the single point of contact between Mobily’s Network Strategic Planning department and IBM’s onshore and offshore development team in India and Pakistan. I led the delivery of solution for two disparate domains of Mobily’s services, one pertaining to the network services, which were SMS and IP-VPN and other to IT Ops & OSS/BSS customer services, which included provisioning, billing, subscriptions, order management and incident management.

Notable achievements

Technology transformation and adoption
I led the transformation of a legacy system and adoption of new technology stack in STC, which significantly reduced development and delivery time of new software requirements and features. The initiative reduced the number of lines of code from ~12, 000 to ~3, 500 and provided a robust development framework for developers, which significantly increased their productivity. I am also responsible for devising the roadmap and lifecycle of the technology stack.

Successful design and implementation of services monitoring solution
I designed and implemented a software solution for data analytics and geospatial monitoring of network services for web and mobile access. The solution was adopted by several business units/departments in STC including Field operations, Wholesale business department, and Home services unit. The solution generated multi-million dollar business for IBM with STC, and was showcased by STC as part of its solution portfolio in Mobile World Congress 2016.
