The Project:
The project is the part of the 5000MW plan of Electrical Ministry of Egypt; the project is to make the Engineering and Construction Management of the 750MW of New Talkha Power Plant;

I joined the project in a late stage to close out the project and finalize the performance test of the Steam Turbine; there were a problem to close out several contract packages; I did a good job with my team to close out these packages and hand them over to the client.

The project:
The project is a part of the 5000MW plan of the Power Ministry of Egypt; the project is Two Combined Cycle Unites with a capacity of 1500MW.
Job Role: Management
I joined the project since day one; I was following up the construction starting from the civil part; I succeed to build there a good team working with me to manage all the packages and put the plant on operation on time.
As a Site Manager Assistant I am responsible for:-
1. Recommends the construction engineering organization for approval by the Field Construction Manager.
2. Directs construction-engineering activities of the assigned construction engineering staff.
3. Coordinates with the Contract Superintendents and subcontractors to plan construction schedules.
4. Directs the preparation of requisitions for field procured materials.
5. Plans and recommends procedures to be implemented.
6. Directs the maintenance of construction engineering records for job history. Supervises the receiving, distribution and filing of plans and specifications.
7. Works with Client’s resident engineering and operating personnel to coordinate construction activities.
8. Directs preparation of cost estimates for construction activities and coordinates the preparation of cost reports, forecast and progress reports.
9. Implements controls over variables affecting job progress to ensure engineering and procurement provide timely delivery of drawings, materials and equipment and those other corporate services are fully utilized.
10. Administers assigned subcontracts.
11. Administers major subcontract changes and represents the company in major contractual discussions and negotiations.
12. Performs personnel evaluation for subordinate personnel.
13. Ensures that subordinate personnel receive progressive training.
14. Ensures on site quality control measures are in place
15. Updates and maintains the onsite construction procedures
16. Supervises the onsite Document control effort
El-Kureimat Combined Cycle Power Station:
As a Project Field Engineer I am responsible for the organization and direction of construction engineering forces, and activities relating to construction engineering, subcontracts, engineering liaison to the design offices. Interprets design drawings and specifications. Also I supervise all field verification and quality of materials. Provides technical direction to construction engineers in a wide range of construction engineering and design functions relating to multi-discipline engineering in an area or to a single discipline on the overall project. Will conduct on site training as required to ensure all team members are aware of jobsite procedures.
Fire Fighting o Az-Zour South Gas Turbine Power Station
As a site manager for the project which started on May 2004, I am responsible for completion of the Elector-Mechanical Fire Detection and Fire Fighting System (Water, Foam and Argon) for # 8 Unites 110 MW of SIEMENS and the Plant Facilities.The coordination between the main contractor and the other sub-contractors, closing the construction packages and site close up and turn over to the client also from my duties.I am responsible also to finish the contract financing points with or main and sub-contractors.
Az-Zour Complex Pump Station (WIER PUMP).As a site manager for the, I am responsible for completion of the Elector-Mechanical for #3 units of 20 MGID and the Surge System for the units.The coordination between the main contractor and the other sub-contractors, closing the construction packages and site close up and turn over to the client also from my duties.I am responsible also to finish the contract financing points with or main and sub-contractors.
