Responsible to establish and strengthen mutually beneficial relationships between HCT campus and its local community from an industry perspective in coordination with Central Services.
Oversee the efficient and effective functioning of HR functions within Al Ain Men's College, and I am the main point of contact for employees on matters pertaining to their employment and benefits. I handle different HR areas such as employee contract management, policy interpretation, performance management, new hire orientation, permanent and temporary staff recruitment and on-boarding, and employee relations. In addition, I plans, advises and oversees various HR change management initiatives through effective communication and contributes to ongoing policy development and implementation. I also work closely with the Director on staffing budgets and vacancy tracking. My role requires frequent communications with HR department at Central Services (HCT head-office) to ensure the smooth delivery of HR services.
Responsible for providing executive-level support to Al Ain Men’s College Director including: Participating in the establishment of relevant college’s policies and procedures, developing an annual plan and budget, assisting the process of strategic planning. I also lead the director’s office including: calendar management; attending meetings on behalf of the director and preparing various forms of communications. I receive and prioritize all incoming correspondence to the executive office and work with relevant stakeholders to ensure that issues are investigated fully and brought to successful resolution. On the director’s directives, I also provide support to all non-academic support services departments within the college, which may include Student Services, Academic Services, Career Services, IT Services, Facilities, Finance and Administration. . In this role, I deal with items of a confidential nature and to interact appropriately at all levels of the organization and with VIPs visiting the AAMC.
Responsible for the ownership and successful delivery of an annual strategic marketing plan for the college. I lead the department in establishing and maintaining effective support services, which includes oversight of sponsorship campaigns, fundraising activities, students recruitment, graduate employment and other community outreach initiatives. As the manager for a team of marketing professionals, I play a key role in the recruitment and professional development of department staff. I am also responsible for formulating departmental budgets, goals, objectives and priorities; ensuring the efficient utilization of allocated resources. In addition to participating in the recruitment and selection of staff and ensuring the effective management and development of staff.
Responsible for overseeing marketing and corporate communications activities with the aim of positioning the colleges positively across all media formats including print, television, radio and social media. I am responsible for building relationships with top tier English and Arabic media companies and sponsors, posting stories to the media, distribute press releases, and moderates interviews. In Addition, I am in charge of all official communications with public and private sectors on behalf of the colleges and the Director. I work closely with the College Director, Marketing Manager, Chairs, Faculty and the Careers department to showcase college, student and alumni successes to the UAE community.
Responsible for providing effective instruction in General Business subjects which are
highly integrated with Information Technology. By using various learning methodologies
that support a learning by doing philosophy, curriculum is taught to second language
learners within a student-focused learning environment that fosters respect for
students, their culture, and traditions. In addition to assisting with the development and
preservation of system-wide and directorate-specific policies, and are viewed as active
participants in academic and extra-curricular events at the College and within the
community.
As part of the Academic Services and Students Affairs department, I provided administrative services and assist in the effective development and operation of student services at the college. I supported college advancement activities by assisting in the organization and promotion of student events, activities and conferences. I also provided support to colleagues in the department by assisting with reception services, student admissions, student behavior cases, security issues related to students, public relations initiatives, recruitment projects, and providing general information related to Student Services. Started from Academic year 2012, my job duties were more focused on establishing and maintaining partnerships with government, semi-government and private sector employers to secure work placement and employment opportunities for the students. I worked closely with employers, academic department chairs, faculty and college management to ensure effective implementation of the graduate and work placement plan.
Responsible for developing and managing human resource practices for an international workforce dedicated to education in the UAE. With over 2000 employees at 16 colleges across the United Arab Emirates, the HCT’s compensation and benefits programs for Expatriate and National employees are extensive, thus my job required working closely with Human Resources departments at Central Services and at the college-level to support HR functions related to payroll, contract administration, policy & procedures development, business process design, employee relations and end-user support. I was supporting the Compensation & Benefits Manager in the collection of external compensation data, benchmarking activities, and the implementation of compensation initiatives to ensure that the HCT’s compensation strategy remains competitive in evolving local and global markets.
Participated in the development and implementation of the Banner Human Resources Management System. As a member of the implementation team, core responsibilities involved aspects of the development road map to include business analysis, configuration, IT specification writing, testing, documentation and training.
