I am working in IT Department at Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa), where I do the following:
- Service Desk Operator and Coordinator
- Provide technical support and administrator for CMS (Corresponding Management System), Ultimus, KM mobile application, Queueing system,
- Admin for IT Budget System and cooperate with other dep focal points for the IT budget requests.
- Preparing and reviewing tender documents for IT projects.
- Prepare and analyses scoop of work, tender Technical Evaluation Report, Technical Evaluation Report.
- Provide administrative support to ensure that office operations are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.
- Prepare, type, format a wide variety of documentation including correspondence, memos, forms, statistical charts reports and other documents. Also, Review and edit reports.
- Maintain calendar and schedule meetings within it team and with the vendors.
- Maintain office filing system including paper files/file cabinets, shared electronic files and confidential records.
- Attend meetings, prepare agendas
- Coordinate schedules and activities, and tracking progress and results of projects.
- Handel the assigned tickets from helpdesk system and solve all incidents related to end user equipment and end user issues.
Currently I am working in United Development Company (UDC) as Customer Service (Call Center and Receptionist) where I do the following:
- Greet regular clients and VIP clients, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
- Answer calls and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for clients, customers, or supervisors. .
- Open, read, route, and distribute incoming mail and other material, and prepare answers to routine letters.
- Take dictation and transcribe information.
- Write reports, requests, send emails and fax based on work needs.
- Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems, and use computers for word processing, database management, and other applications.
I had work with student’s employment service in QU during my study years as part time job for more than 400 credit hours in different departments as the following:
- Student ID cards
- Financial Aid Department
- Student Services Department / Textbooks Section
- College of Law / Administration Office of Law (I had work with “Center for Energy and Sustainability Law” where I had design posters, logos and build database for the center. Also I had prepare and organize seminar “Energy Dispute Resolution”
Projects accomplished during my study: - Programming Concepts (C++ Programing Language) Course - Digital Signal Processing Course - Operating System Course - Data and Communication & Networks Course - Object Oriented Programing (Java Programing Language ) Course. - Senior Project (Using ARM-based Microcontrollers to Assist Offline Virus Scanning) In this project we had design a offline virus scanning system dedicated to scan any external memory before attach it to the PC where microcontroller will act as a tool that will scan all the files present in the external memory and output the scanning results to user earthier virus found or clean. The aim of this project is to remove the load from computer CPU that is caused by regular virus scanning software. We are also trying to solve the problem caused when a virus is transferred through the flash memory to the computer. Where this system can be used in all computer labs to protect all computers from any threats that can be caused by using a flash memory where it scanned using this microcontroller to make sure that it is clean before usage.
