Keep all clients updated with freight rates.
Maintain open-channel communication with clients and agents via email.
Clear payables with shipping agents according to most updated quotations.
Studying and Analyzing Material consumption trends and inventory levels.
Placing orders and checking shipment (Import Items); Tracking of shipments and dispatches at suppliers end/ETD/position of vessel/ETA, documents etc.
Check all import documentation to determine cargo contents and use tariff coding system to classify goods according to fee or tariff group.
Follow-up with Suppliers, Customs brokers, shipping lines and inland import/export logistics.
Pay or arrange for payment of, taxes and duties on shipments. Clear goods through Customs and arrange delivery to their destinations
Coordinate and follow-up with Finance on Banking interfacing areas, documents and invoices, payments, swifts etc.
