Check the shipment’s docs received from the commercial dept and forwarders and make sure that they adhere with the logistics dept documentation guidelines.
Prepare the customs duty and all required documents for customs clearance and send to customs broker before shipment’s arrival to port or airport.
Request freight quotations and rates from forwarders, and compare to get the better cost.
Compute shipment’s freight cost by sea freight FCL and LCL and airfreight and informing the logistics supervisor for approval before proceeding with booking to ensure compliance with dept. cost requirements.
Maintain and save emails related to the records of each shipment.
Preparing weekly report in order to review the problems encountered and to check new ways of improvement in terms of efficiency and cost.
-Responsible for maintaining a record of all outstanding purchase orders with external vendors.
-Responsible of data entry and cost calculations.
-Arranges transportation and forwarding services for all orders to ensure material is delivered as per schedule.
-Expedites all critical orders with local and external vendors.
-Reviews expediting schedules on all customer orders. Obtains and forwards information to planning and sales teams.
-Responsible for all duty customs sales and tax functions, including certification and verification, drawback, and compliance with governmental agencies.
-Coordinates imports and exports.
-Reviews freight rates: air, courier, and land.
-Liaises with custom brokers for updated reporting procedures and valuations.

•Managing salvage of damaged or used material.
•Screening, hiring, training staff, evaluating employee performance, and recommending or initiating promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action for warehouse personnel.
•May participate in planning personnel-safety and plant-protection activities.
