Playing primary roles in marine and terrestrial environmental work requiring high levels of local knowledge and correct practice for surveying techniques.
Field team leader; Acting frequently as the field team leader ensuring efficient data collection for timely submitals. The position of field team leader requires important decision making under hard working decisions and these are carried out effectively ensuring continuous safety of personnel and equipment.
Surveying; Using a wide range of survey techniques including SCUBA, photography, seawater/sediment/infauna collection etc. to understand ecological status of sites.
Reports and client communication; Playing contributory roles for scientific report writing for formal and non-formal readers. Maintaining relationships with clients including analytical laboratories.
Laboratory; Basic laboratory works including infaunal work and understanding of chemical use for preservation and fixing of samples.
Data; Collection followed by interpretation of data using Geographic information system ArcMAP as well as environmental data processing (Coral Point Count CPCe).
Applying coastal engineering techniques and methods to assist the Maritime team consisting of Coastal and Civil engineers. Contributing to numerous large and small scale projects consisting of time out in the field studying the 750km entirity of Abu Dhabi’s coastline assessing suitability for development as well as desk-based work primarily involving coastal engineering.
Significant project involvement in North East Bab (NEB) project for design and development of off shore islands for national oil & gas projects.
