• Prepares variation claims with respect to Instruction of Changes issued by the Client, changes in IFC Drawings, commented shop drawing (if any cost impact) and other forms of changes based on contractual documents.
• Attend workshops with the consultant to settle variations claims and attend commercial meetings if necessary.
• Liaise to manufacturers and suppliers requesting for quotations and relevant information’s needed.
• Prepares cost comparison and budget analysis for each trade or materials for approval by the management.
• Prepares material take off or calculate quantities for procurement as per project requirement.
• Assist in preparation of Contract Documents and finalization of Sub Contract Agreement for Sub Contractors.
• Coordinate with technical department due to discrepancies in drawings and project requirements.
• Ensure that Subcontractors scope of works are in full compliance with the project specifications.
• Document via letter to consultant and subcontractors if necessary.
Calculate the materials quantity from Tender and IFC Drawings and prepares drawings and attachments to substantiate its claims for the miscalculated quantities in the Bill of Quantities for Final Payment of the project. Performs site visit and review all approved RFI's (Request for Inspection) to calculate all the work done for interim payment application. Meeting with the consultant QS has to be perform for clarifications. Part of my job as a QS is to certify all payment applications from the suppliers and subcontractors as well.
Material take off for tender drawings and specifications, ensures that the Bill of Quantities are free from error and miscalculation at the same time ensures that all components are accounted to the BOQ including the Scope of Works. In addition to tendering evaluation of commercial sections and bulletins issued by the engineer has to be done. Certifying subcontractors payment application and claims also preparation of quotation for the suppliers and manufacturers.
Analyze and review specifications and drawings between the tender and IFC contract documents, if changes has made cost/time implications has to be done for claims. Also review all materials submittals from the subcontractors before submission to the engineer. Report weekly to the Project Management team for the development of each trade I handle and report all pending submittals to expedite the approval. Daily coordination to the subcontractors and meeting if necessary to fast track and mitigate the time lose for procurement stage of the project.
Material take off for tender projects and prepare Bill of Quantities and ensure all components form the specifications and drawings are accounted in the BOQ if not commercial clarifications shall be made to the engineer. Also performs site visit for interim payment applications and prepare variation cost for additional work done. Coordinate to the subcontractors and materials supplier in a daily basis to ensure smooth flow of the project.
Supervised excavation and structural works for Annexed Structures. Give comments and suggestions to the subcontractors for all works thats needs to be rectified before the inspection of the engineer and ensures that all materials consumptions for heavy equipment are available in order to avoid delay and slippage of the project.
In charge of inspection, inventory and tower deployment throughout the country in able to complete all the backbone line for communication towers. In addition to that part of my job is to prepare layout plans for the new acquired site and ensure that all permitting works are done before RFO (Ready for Occupancy).
