Professional occupations:

I have occupied various leadership roles at various corporates. Specific positions are listed for your information.

 Rhodes University (2011 to present) - HR leadership role at Rhodes University of Manager: HR Operations.
 HR Consultancy (2009 to 2011) - Managed business initiatives across a range of corporates.
 Netcare Healthcare Ltd (2001 to 2009) - Occupied senior positions such as Area Operations Manager and Divisional HR Manager for the Primary Care Division as well as Hospital HR Manager.
 Telkom SA Ltd (1985 to 1999) - In my role as Regional HR Manager for the North/Eastern region, I lead the professional HR service offering.

Education:

My formal educational background comprises of:

 B Tech Degree in Business Administration (Human Resources and general management;
 National Diploma in Office Administration (Human Resources and general management);
 University post-graduate programmes (various).

I have extensive experience in all aspects of generalist Human Resources Management and fulfilled a leadership role in the Medicross Healthcare Group. I was responsible for planning, developing and implementing Manpower strategies and accountable for Recruitment processes to ensure adequate and competent staff to meet the needs of the business. I was facilitating the quarterly executive Skills Development and Talent Management committee meetings. I was, furthermore, responsible for the full generalist HR function, including Labour Relations, Organizational Development, Performance Management and compliance issues regarding HR Policies and Procedures.

HR / TALENT MANAGEMENT:
· Managed HR on divisional level, consisting of staff component of 2, 100;
· In a Netcare Group HR perception survey, performed in 2007, I achieved the highest rating (92%) on my job level in the national HR team;
· Succeeded in preventing CCMA labour (arbitration) rulings against Netcare;
· DDI-internationally accredited to facilitate Deloitte and Touché training programs;
· Developed a Management of Absenteeism training guide, which was rolled-out in Netcare, nationally;
· Incorporated PrimeCure business into Netcare after acquisition;
· Managed to increase the overall Employment Equity (ABC staff ratio) by 10%;
· Internal staff satisfaction survey result increased by 10%;
· Implemented and rolled-out a Performance Management system nationally;
· Introducing an Employee & Management Self Service electronic personnel system to manage leave administration;
· Inclusion in senior management Talent Pool for Succession Planning purposes;
· Nominated as Mentor on a Mentor/Protégé leadership programme;
· Seconded to attend to HR Commissioning of a new hospital in Saudi Arabia.
