Job Role:
• Performing Inspections (RFIs) for the ongoing works with consultant to ensure work is going as per project standards.
• Planning and coordinating QA/QC activities, making certain of quality control of the work in accordance to contract requirements.
• Providing necessary instructions on-site to comply with the needs and requirements of the project and ensuring that the installation/work process is as per Project Quality Plan.
• Ensuring that the materials received on site are against approved technical submittals and installation work is strictly in accordance with project specifications.
• Resolving issues, if any, with respect to items received at site.
• Responsible for final inspection of finished works offered for inspection before delivery to client and preparing reports as per guideline set in the approved project quality plan.
• Ensuring closing of non-conformance reports that clients raise and communicate through project management team.
• Implementing the quality control procedures and plans for providing the more efficient onsite construction work.
• Performing other related duties assigned by Construction Manager/ Project Manager.
Project: 8.6 KM long Railway tunnel (T74R) in Himalaya Range (Banihal, J&K, India) - $120 Million.
Job Role:
• Monitored the execution of different phases of tunnel construction (New Austrian Tunneling Method).
Monitored tunnel displacements using different devices like Pressure Cells, Multipoint Extensometers, DMPs, Strain Meters, and Total Station etc. and got conclusions from the respective data sheets.
• Utilized Borehole Drilling and prepared respective log sheets, which helped in classification of rock mass/overburden.
Measured aspects of sub-surface geology using rock mass classification and rock mass rating.
• Used Lattice girders and steel arch beams for different types of soils/rock-mass.
• Used Short-Crete for tunnel surface finishing.
• Used Rock bolts for sideway plastic zones created by drilling and blasting during excavation process.
