My post is a major role at the Embassy. It is the first time that this post has been given to a Jordanian national. My responsibilities include procurement (including approval of tenders and contracts), accommodation of personnel from the UK, customer care, training of the staff and financial and maintenance issues. I manage a team of eleven people and am responsible for the Activity Recording of the Embassy.
All these functions are within my capacity because I was formerly the School Examinations Manager of the British Council in Jordan. In my job reponsibilities, I managed the whole IGCSE, A level and CIPP program in Jordan, including the examinations themselves, training of staff, school activities, customer services, student counselling and liason with the British Examination Boards (Cambridge and Edexcel).
