• Review all Contractor submissions made by the Contractor to ensure that the submittals are compliant with the Contract Documents.
• Review all submittals including shop drawings and make recommendations.
• Monitoring and verification to ensure the alignment, location, grade, level and plumb work of all elements both vertically and horizontally as per the Contract Documents.
• Review and certify daily records of the performed works, as well as material deliveries, tests performed and safety problems for supplier(s) and contractor(s) engaged on the Project.
• Review and approve design mix formula for materials (Asphalt, Concrete, etc).
• Ensure calibration of the laboratory equipment and plants.
• Identify unacceptable work to the supplier(s) and Contractor(s) as early as possible.
• Review test results submitted by the Contractor and or their third party testing agencies in order to verify adherence to quality standards and conformance with Contract Documents.
• Supervise and monitor the rectification of defects.
• Surveillance of the QC procedures and organization of the Contractor to ensure the effectiveness of such procedures in maintaining the quality of work performed.

Responsibility:
Identify unacceptable work to the supplier(s) and Contractor(s) as early as possible.
Review test results submitted by the Contractor and or their third party testing agencies in order to verify adherence to quality standards and conformance with Contract Documents.
Supervise and monitor the rectification of defects.
Surveillance of the QC procedures and organization of the Contractor to ensure the effectiveness of such procedures in maintaining the quality of work performed.
Supervise the installation of works by the Contractor as per the Contract Documents, by proper material tracking, testing, appropriate work installations, and accurate management of Contractor’s methods.
Maintain comprehensive inspection records including all original signed off inspection requests, testing reports, items inspected, date and location, tests etc. performed and the outcome particularly if the item was rejected in which case the reasons for rejection and the action to be taken should be recorded.
Promote a policy of continuous improvement of the quality system and ensure that the quality system reflects the approved processes and is flexible to new processes and change.
Monitoring the Contractor’s activities, ensuring that they are in compliance with statutory safety requirements, SC safety requirements, guidelines and policies of the relevant local authorities and industry best practice
Compile defect lists for all trades and verify that defects are rectified, carrying out further inspection as necessary to ensure that the work is completed and rectified in accordance with the Contract Documents, providing updates in the weekly construction and or QA/QC meetings.
