performance and results in the areas of: Export / Import: - Manages flight allocations ( Average of 80 flights per shift) to all import agents and makes sure that target deadline are met. This forms as part of monitoring for the
cargo agents to meet their IKOs.
- Prepares excel spreadsheet reports for managements perusal on a daily basis.
These reports include manpower tonnage/distribution and daily allocation of flight
assignment.
- Ensures that cargo whether HUM remains, Live AVI, DG cargo, transit, high value,
perishable or general cargo are placed in their corresponding holding areas.
- Promotes good coordination & communication with the Ground Services ( Load
Control Team Leader), Tracing department, customer service, Export Team and out stations as well as airport cargo safety practices.
Warehouse Management: - Ensures that ALL shipments for VNA location is properly scanned in its proper
location.
- Regularly checks the performance and accuracy of RF scanners.
- Calls for regular check up and maintenance of VNA and BT forklifts to ensure that
these equipment are working properly.
- Maintains good housekeeping practice at the warehouse.
Customer Service: - Makes sure that ALL documents coming from the flights are immediately released to documentation office to effect the processing of customs clearance.
- Prioritizes shipments that are for express delivery and makes sure that the customer gets them in time.
People Management: - Coaches Cargo Agents and cargo handlers as to how to manage their flights to enable them to be more efficient. They are taught how to think out of the box to
ensure a more effective and accurate performance are drawn out from them.
- Regularly nominates staff for further training to enhance their knowledge and skills
related to cargo operations.
- Promotes an intense Team Spirit among the men to boost their morale and to maintain teamwork.
