• Directs and manages the activities of assigned staffs in the Mechanical Section.
• Plans annual Operating budget, monitors/justify the expenditure including 3 years planning.
• Monitors progress and performance of mechanical staffs and assures quality standards are maintained
• Managing the assets by ensuring the infrastructure and systems are operational and maintained in accordance with internal and external regulations.
• Oversee general facility operations, ensuring the facility is in the best working order and condition possible.
• Respond to all building mechanical system failures and d diagnose their cause and supervise all activities required to restore proper operation.
• Ensures mechanical section is in compliance with QU and department work instructions, procedures, specifications, and technical guidelines
• Randomly monitor weekly project meetings and project management meetings to determine level of satisfaction and interaction between disciplines
• Provides technical guidance to team on Mechanical engineering requirements
• Support and coordinate with other disciplines regarding mechanical engineering requirements.
-Assists the project manager in monitoring the overall project progress and maintain accurate and effective records.
-Provides professional input where applicable in terms of reviews of products design for compliance with engineering principle, organizational standards, customer contract requirements and related specification.
-assist the project manager in coordinating all interdisciplinary activities and ensures the overall quality control of the work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Directing, monitoring and coordinating project management activities and evaluations/ plans to guarantee successful turnover of the project deliverables as per contract specifications.
• Developing overall work plans for all construction projects to ensure work is assigned and completed within the given time frame without compromising on quality.
• Forecasting, tracking and managing project budget/resources to ensure adequacy to meet project commitments and adherence to forecasts, time, cost and quality constraints. Compiling/analyzing data to highlight major variances against targets.
• Preparing construction schedules and milestones, monitoring progress against established schedules, checking for variations and proposing suitable modifications to avoid time/ cost overruns.
• Supervise Contractors and Sub-Contractors activities at the site.
• Ensure quality and safety standards and procedures are in place, understood and adhered to by all involved parties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planned, controlled and monitored all the assigned projects to best meet project objectives and adhere to project scope, time, cost and quality constraints.
• Aided in preparing Concept Detail Package (CDP) by means of SABIC Affiliate and Front End Engineering Package including the scope of work, whilst ensuring strict adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
• Developed detailed project, communication, risk and quality to deliver assigned projects successfully on time, within budget and to scope.
• Liable for scrutinizing engineering deliverables, consequently created project plans and schedules and tracked progress against plans, established project milestones that reflect realization of agreed business benefits within timeframe and budget.
