Barge Engineer

• Handling all marine matters related to the operation of the rig, e.g. Rig Move, loading unloading, Jacking and RPD issues, where ensuring accurate calculations are demonstrated
• Working on Jack up Rigs Fried &Goldman, RPD Rigs, Le Tourneau 82-SDC Class Design
• Conduct work over wells & drilling new wells at Zuluf Field, Berri Field at Saudi Arabia & Balayiem Field, Red sea, Egypt.
• Take charge of the rig during rig moves by manning jacking controls and ensuring that all equipment is secured, and ballasting is correct.
• Assist Jack Up Rig Mover with rig moves starting with preparation of rig, operating the jacking console during rig move, Familiar with RPD issues
• Have a score at rig moves more than 50 rig move,
• During the normal operation Supervises and coordinates all Marine Operations, Material movements, including but not limited to Supply vessel operations, Helicopter Operations, Crane / Lifting operations,
• On scene commander during emergency events
• Undertake audits and inspections as required audit and inspection procedures by employer or customer
• Ensure compliance and adherence to SMS policies, procedures and guidance on the MODU. familiar with ABS class rules, surveys including (UWILD and SPS) , rig certification for Vanuatu & Panama flag and ABS classification society
• Act as the focal point on the rig for accountability of maintenance by means of applying the Preventive Maintenance Schedule (PMS)
• Monitor, co-ordinate and maintain associated records of all preventive maintenance activity on an assigned rig.
• Manage all engineering and mechanical aspects of the barge
• Observation of jacking system and maintenance
• Health& safety, and general QHSE-with knowledge of Fire, and safety policies in marine operations
• Keep accurate record of certificate pertaining to lifting equipment for securing and traceability between the certificate and the component
• Deck Management (Man power management & load distribution)
• Monitoring and coaching all Lifting tasks
• Filling in & Out (L.O, Water, D.O, Sea water), Accommodation in & out Transfer bulks cement, Barite
• LSA Equipment inspection
