TRQN project (Temporary Return of Qualified Nationals)is one of the IOM(International Organization for Migration) projects which concerns on attracting expatriate nationals who had migrated to other countries (specially Netherlands and EU countries) and achieved professional success abroad to transfer their knowledge to their countries. Works under supervision of Migration Movement and Management
Programme Coordinator while performing the following duties:
• Promote for TRQN III objectives to various governmental institutes, NGOs, Universities, Vocational trainings and research bodies.
• Monitor the process of each assignment and make necessary assessments.
• Maintain regular contact with government partners, sector partners, local authorities, NL embassy and other stakeholders.
• Participate and contribute to relevant conferences, seminars etc. and Disseminate information through IOM country website, newsletters etc.
• Provide inputs, comment and suggest adjustments for the improvement or the program implementation and the smooth running of the operations
• Prepare regular and/or special narrative and statistical report and be responsible as the focal point for coordinating and reporting the Programme report and statistics of TRQN.
• Participate in conferences to attract the Sudanese Diaspora to the importance of their contribution towards enhancing the country development.
• Producing success stories and related reports.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
- A number of 16 assignments was successfully achieved along with arranging for more 6-7 assignments to be enrolled.
- Successfully managed to enhance and increase the Diasporas database
- Producing new Monitoring and evaluation techniques which increased the level of accuracy of the information provided to the Sponsors.
- Enhancing the documentation procedures and reporting.
- Widen the image of knowing about the project mandate and objectives within different institutions in Sudan and outside Sudan.
- Addition of promotional materials and presentations
TOKTEN: Transfer Of Knowledge Through Expatriate Nationals.
A. advocacy duties:
-Support in designing of advocacy, promotional materials, publications, and media campaigns.
-Organize advocacy workshops to convince donors and stakeholders.
-Coordinate production of publications, and translation of documents.
-Organize and participate in media and interpersonal discussion forum, and deliver presentations towards promoting the project within and outside Sudan.
-Support implementation advocacy and marketing activities of the project with stakeholders within and outside Sudan as well as strong partnerships between UNDP and other UN agencies.
B.Database Management duties:
-Organize the upgrading of the Database
-Update the current project webpage- using PHP and MYSQL and SharePoint - to meet the requirements of frequently used database and continually manage the features and contents of the project webpage.
-Work with technical partners and support in establishing contacts with Sudanese Diaspora for their contribution in TOKTEN Sudan.
C. Other duties:
-Support the Project Manager in information collecting and processing for the project periodic progress reports.
-Coordination with other finance assistance on ATLAS, for payments of entitlements of Volunteers, mission travels payments, and other costs incurred on the Project with approval of appropriate authorizing officer.
-Due to non-presence of Operations member and project manager up to the mid of 2010, I prepared and performed the following duties:
-Prepare contractual agreement letters for recruited Volunteers.
-Coordinate with other finance assistance on ATLAS, for payments of entitlements of TOKTEN Volunteers, mission travels payments, MTR and other costs incurred on the Project.
-Perform logistic issues for the Project Vehicle (car maintaining report, fuel, Driver license and all other duties related to the vehicle).
-any other related operational issues.( budget revision, .. etc)
a. Developing variant software applications either a new application or participating in already designed one.
b. Web site designer, for static and dynamic websites by using either ASP or PHP with SQL Server 2000 or MySQL. With the collaboration of using adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDraw and PhotoDraw along with using Swish and Flash for the required animations and website styling.
c. Work as system analyst. With the co-operation with others as one team to support and develop the specified work. ( by applying the SDLC approach, I managed to design system for one Ministry consists of 18 departments).
d. Working with group to identify software needs, designing appropriate methods, scheduling, planning, preparing the designed software training, writing documentations (user, software guide).
Worked as part-time lecturer for the first class students on computer fundamentals.
From time to time, I used to teach Computer Introduction and Operating Systems (DOS and Windows) including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, Using Internet…, QuickBooks .
Performing the following tasks:
On - Site System Administration for Accountants on Sudatel Company including:
i. Administration and modification of Banan’s accounting system (Back-end modification SQL Server).
ii. Modification of the Contracts System (Back-end and front end - MS Access)
iv. Developing user guides along with various documentations for the company Software user guidelines as needed.
Master research was on building in memory database system for SQL Server 2000 platform, by using VB i managed to virtually load data and tables to memory.
Cobol Programming Data communication and Networks advanced database Operating systems
