Managed a P6 15.1 EPPM fast-track migration from existing Cloud premises (LoadSpring Inc) a to Oracle Primavera Cloud Services platform. Consolidated the entire SNCL Oil & Gas Division platform for 115 users located abroad into once single Cloud Platform including the following accomplishments between that year and today:
- Acting as unique point of contact for P6 Cloud Services interfacing with Global IT Operations and collaboration with other Divisions, e.g: Clean Energy
- Develop planning content related to P6 Professional and maintain a SharePoint sub-site, including technical notes related to P6 EPPM Cloud instructions
- Advising users about good scheduling practices using Primavera P6. A series of health checks recommendations and templates using P6 Professional and MS Excel were published (based on 14-Point DCMA)
- Advising users on performing schedule risk analysis methodology using Primavera Risk Analysis software. For supporting this role a schedule risk analysis procedure was implemented
- Design and implementation a new functional governance process to monitor P6 setups and users. We adopted KPIs at different operational stages. Done over 115 users
- Supporting integration pilot tests using P6 Web Services: ECOSYS, HEXAGON PPM Engineering. I also advise on functional requirements from a planning standing point of view, P6 Web Services licensing and ways of using our Stage (Test) environment
- More recently in 2019, again I trained another engineer as a associate administrator, bringing this resource up to speed in three months. Basic Primavera P6 EPPM administration and issue management were handed over to that resource with no major incidents with users.
I developed the original baseline schedule and performed subsequent updates for a service infrastructure project for Qatar Shell 615 General Engineering Services Program: Permanent Cleaning Bundle Yard. Also performed Schedule Analytics and Health Checks for several EPC projects as per Regional Project Controls Manager requirements in South Africa and Qatar.
Executed and closed a P6 8.3 EPPM fast-track migration project to a Cloud hosting environment (LoadSpring Inc) to include more than 75 users sparingly located across Middle East, Africa, Australia and Americas using different P6 setups
I took the hosting environment to a full operational scale and included training, local support and ad hoc end user documentation. Also provided implementation services for two major SNC Lavalin Joint Ventures and massive EPC programs into one central database conciliating different detailed requirements and keeping the idea to use one sole database for integration purposes. Managed 92 active users using one sole central database
Directly managed EMEA, APAC and Americas P6 License purchases and support renewals, including the administrator (CUA) role on behalf of all users. For Cloud operations we monitored the SLA trough an issue log. Finally, trained and mentored a second P6 Administrator for Americas.
Successful participated on more 10 proposals and projects has been accomplished during 2016. This job included to perform a detailed Schedule Risk Analysis based on the results of each the risk workshop and clarifications from the Project Management team and proposal coordinators.
As a Planning Lead for Eastern Hemisphere projects I led a team of six engineers who tracked EPC projects within the Eastern Hemisphere. I managed the review of baseline Level III schedules, the tracking of logic network changes, the generation of reports, preparing the proposal schedules and schedule basis documentation. Major Projects were:
- SHELL, IRAQ, Early Production Facilities, Value 50M - 100M USD
- PDIL, PAKISTAN, LPG 59 MMSCFD Facility, Value 50M - 100M USD
- 20 Proposals for several Middle East Clients.
I administered the Primavera P6 7.0 system and support the Global Planning Manager on scheduling procedures, Primavera standardization, the Planning Reporting System, and the Schedule Basis Memorandum and Schedule identification guidelines.
Along with the Global Planning Manager I supported a P6 8.2 implementation at EXTERRAN Global Head Office in Houston by reviewing functional requirements, developing EPS/OBS, security profiles and Business Intelligence reporting requirements and reviewing user’s system requirements.
As a Senior Consultant for this Oracle Partner, I delivered certified training and provided technical support and pre-sales assistance for tailored demonstrations to prospective clients. My most relevant engagements were:
- PEQUIVEN S.A, Venezuela. Primavera 6.1 implementation included 23 users and 35 engineering projects. Built business case, systems requirements, design documentation, MSP import, schedule review and assessment to ensure right total float calculations and proper WBS decomposition
- PUERTO RICO ELECTRICAL POWER AUTHORITY, PR, USA Primavera 6.0 implementation based on Methodology Management and P6 Web implementation for 10 users. Developed codes structures for Business, Portfolio Management, Project Scoring and Main Portfolio Dashboards
- GLAXO, SMITH & KLINE, PR, USA. As a Primavera Subject Matter Expert, I delivered schedule reviews, master schedule reporting and capacity planning scenarios using Primavera P5. I supported P5 administration (15 users, 46 projects) and my Primavera 5.0 implementation for GSK-QMS (quality system review project) for 5 users
- GRUPO ENIAC C.A. Primavera P4.1 basic training and first level support for several major Venezuelan companies. I was the Planner/Scheduler for several in-house projects, controlling schedule, addressing issues and developing recovery plans using Primavera 4.1
- BANCO OCCIDENTAL DE DESCUENTO, BOD. Commercial Bank in Venezuela. Microsoft Project Server 2003 implementation for 46 users over several IT projects including requirement definition, 17 project templates, code structures creation, timesheets, dashboards and training
- PDVSA S.A. Venezuela. Oil Company. Support & Training for INDRA-IMDH healthcare software solution project for San Tome hospital.
Project Management Consultant with multiple responsibilities amongst which included tracking healthcare project portfolio, preparing RFPs, RFIs and technical reviews on bids documentation. Deputy Division Manager, Tracked healthcare minor facilities project portfolio, prioritizing budget for 700 minor projects and budget allocations for each project.
As a Project Engineer, I coordinated daily operations for a warehousing project to allocate about 9000 maintenance small parts in a new rack technology and updating 1500 new replacement parts for heavy coal mining equipment.
Planning Engineer scheduled daily operations of bauxite and tracking inventory levels.
