Position Title: Field Engineer in (Agricultural Cooperative Development International and Volunteers in
Overseas Cooperative Assistance; ACDI/VOCA), December, 2008 -January, 2010.
Employer: ACDI/VOCA Organization / Kirkuk - IRAQ
Description of duties
• Review and conduct engineering activities in accordance with the ACDI / VOCA
Engineering Manual.
• Visit proposed community project's sites and in the development and / or review of BoQs,
technical drawings and local contribution submitted by the project holder; prepare
budget (s) for proposed project
• Prepare the project site hand-over documentation and confirm site conditions accordingly.
• Supervise the execution of the project to ensure compliance according to approved
technical drawings, details, specifications and quantities referred in the contract and checked with internationally accepted standards for civil & electrical engineering works.
• Monitor and assist in preparing and executing the delivery engineering works together with the contractor and committee project holder; ensuring that the contractor is keeping
compliance with all contractual obligations.
• Reject any inadequate work and /or materials deemed to be below required standard and / or not in accordance with contract specifications.
• Ensure that detailed implementation is in accordance with agreed-upon project's duration
time schedule,
• Request tests and samples as necessary. Evaluate and approve all the materials and supplies prior to use on site,
• Prepare and keep updated documentation for all works. This includes all details related to;
Labor Document and contract / project completion percentage,
Field engineer for six site.
• B.Sc. in Material Engineering /University of Al-Mustansiriya, Baghdad - IRAQ; (2002-2005) Final Year Graduate Project was "Synthetic fibers".
