Economic Analysis: I am responsible for preparing monthly updates and flash reports on economy and trade policy issues. These reports are concisely designed to cover macro economy, development and trade policy. Regional integration issues pertaining to SAARC and SAFTA are also highlighted as and when they take place. Comments and conclusions are derived in these reports keeping in view the EU priorities and objectives. Cover and monitor developments with regard to APTTA under Trade corridor (Regional Cooperation) initiative. Pakistan's FTAs with other countries (Malaysia, Sri Lanka and China) and progress thereof is also reported in flash reports apart from the weekly and monthly updates. Loans and investment portfolios. Trade and investment negotiations. TRIPS and WTO standards. Pakistan's relations with the IFIs and the donors In addition, I provide advice to the programmes section (called Operations) on projects related to economy and trade. I also provide feedback on development sector reports to the Operations section.
Monetary Analysis as per Pakistan-
to set up National Commission for Child Welfare and Development (NCCWD).
Responsibilities included implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) in Pakistan following the UNICEF guidelines;
Establish National Commission for Child Welfare and Development (NCCWD) with the UNICEF assistance;
Chalk out strategy to implement UNICEF National Plan of Action in Pakistan
Prepare CRC periodic report for submission to the UN Human Rights Commission in Geneva.
