Career Highlights:
• Improved the Refinery Margin by $0.2 per bbl and achieved a record shift of Kerosene to Diesel (Jun 2020).
• Achieved total saving of $500K, for wrong transfer quantity.
• Negotiated and convinced the off-taker to lift 91 RON v.s 90 Gasoline (2020).
• Received award from the General Manager for Crude Oil Loss Investigation (Apr 2009).
• Received award from the Business Team Manager for the efforts in reducing the reside yield.
• Achieved product claim saving of $170, 000 in May 2020, by verifying the Refinery Grade Propylene to YANPET stream figure.
• Attained marginal improvement by convincing the O/T to lift 91-RON octane vs. 90 of 300 KB lifting total saving estimated to be $270, 000 by selling higher Octane Gasoline.
• Successfully reduced the cost of SABIC Methanol storage cost after the FCCU upset in May by $10, 000.
• Recommended new approaches and convinced the O/T for Lifting # 10836 thereby, achieving product claim saving of $90, 000
• Efficiently convinced Saudi ARAMCO to reduce the gasoline color dye consumption back to 3ppm which led to cost saving.
• Improved the overall inventory by 1.1 MB (June 2017 vs. August 2017), after the O/T meeting in Aug 2017.
• Effectively reduced the products inventory and improved the vessel arrival time by closer and better communication with both O/T.
Key Accomplishments:
• Improved the weekly Projection report distribution time.
• Improved the shipping performance and communication with both O/T by conducting multiple channels of communication and increased the frequency.
• Successfully mitigated the impact of the FCCU on the liftings of the Gasoline during the upset.
• Created the Refinery monthly scorecard reports from Feb 2016 to Jun 2016.
• Successfully learned and completed the Gasoline LP reports.

Key Accountabilities as Production and Supply Planning Senior Engineer:
• As E&P Manager, responsible for selling and scheduling SAMREF main products such as Gasoline, Gas Oil, Jet Fuel, Fuel Oil & Sulfur.
• Coordinate and maintain healthy relations with off-takers and the neighboring companies, thereby improving SAMREF image and response to urgent requests.
• Manage the Gasoline blending on weekly basis by using Multi-blend Optimizer by ASPEN.
• Create weekly refinery reconciliation, monthly refinery scorecard and monthly production plan using Refinery LP.

Clean Fuel Process Designer - Client Division at Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery

Key Accountabilities as Clean Fuel Process Designer - Client Division:
• Established strong relations between the existing units in SAMREF and the designers with the site standards and requirements, by developing the Amine and Sulfur Recovery Grass Root Units.
• Assisted the SAMREF Project team for the existing pump replacement selection for Fresh Amine Pump (91-G-03).
• Developed the new Amine Recovery Unit / Sulfur Recovery Unit (ARU / SRU) & Sulfur Prilling Unit which includes the Operating Envelops, Procedure writing and Alarm list Rationalization.
• Participated in GRS 6B Review and Training, Alarm/OE Preparations and Rationalization and completed the HAZ-COM online course.
• Coordinated with the team and assisted them in conveying the requirement for operation and maintenance by actively participating in GR ARU/SRU/Incinerator and Prilling Model reviews.
• Guided and supported the operators of the new units by determining the unit hazard level and preparing training packages for the same.
• Played a key role in construction and inspection of new equipment.
• Reviewed the design of the Incinerator Tail Gas stack duct, the SRU Claus Reactor and the Sulfur Pit and optimized the designs per the requirement.
• Reduced the stock material variety and complexity for Operational and Maintenance use, by optimizing the material for common use between the existing and new units requirement.
• Reviewed and analyzed the source and quantities of chemicals needed for SRU steam generators boil-out.
• Enhanced the Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) adsorption lead to longer cycles by ordering an improved material for the Amine tank H2S filters.
• Succeeded in efficiently avoiding the startup delays by checking and confirming the size of the pumps temporary strainers on order.
• Provided technical support for existing SRU on rupture pins.
