Responsible for review and implementation and monitoring of the contractors’ safety programs. • Responsible for providing advice on various safety aspects to contractors’ personnel, and for encouraging contractors to pursue safe work practices and to maintain safe conditions at their work sites. • Ensures the availability, readiness and proper use of required accident prevention procedures, safety, and fire prevention equipment, PPE and first aid supplies. • Investigates and prepares reports on accidents with an emphasis on prevention and/or recurrence. • Participates in the training of contractors’ safety staff on safe work practices. • Conducts site inspections with the contractors’ safety managers on a weekly basis or as required; and reviews the reports with contractors’ construction project manager/safety manger • Inspects the construction job sites to detect and directs corrective measures for immediate implementation. • Inspects work area, machinery, equipment and working conditions for compliance with Ministry of HRSD and NEOM regulations.
