Senior Reliability Engineer (APM section - Asset Engineering Dept.) Oct 2017 - Present
• Conducts Reliability Growth Analysis studies on APM tools and generate Business Benefit Realization (BBR) reports for top management.
o Analyzed Defect Elimination (Bad Actor Management) data for its effectiveness and benefit calculations from which areas of improvements identified.
o Analyzed field failures data (RCA events / performance killers) and proposed improvement plan
• Conducts GAP assessments on Reliability related procedures and proposes areas for improvement
o Reliability Leadership Management procedure
o Frontline Engagement procedure
o Reliability Risk Management procedures
• Reliability Focal point for Projects for ageing and obsolescence related assets
o Asset Replacement Strategies (5-year plan) development
• Conducts / Participates Annual Audits (MTA, RMT, Reliability walkthroughs processes)
Plant Reliability Engineer (ETHYLENE & MTBE plants) Mar 2014 - Sep 2017
• Champion of MTA (Mitigating Threats to Availability) process - Discovery of Plant Reliability Risks that negatively effects Plant or business operations.
Works closely with Run & Maintain team members (Operation & Maintenance team) to address plant threats by registering them in MTA tool that drives Risk scenarios, Risk Scoring, mitigation plan development and track actions until closure of threat
• Leads Reliability Walkthrough’s (field visit) with multidisciplinary team to pick out any reliability abnormalities in early stage and take corrective actions to eliminate threats in premature stage.
• Facilitates RCA’s for production loss incidents (mostly Class C1 & C2 reliability events) and play key role in driving team towards identification of physical, human and latent root causes
• Facilitates and manage Defect Elimination / Bad Actor Management of repetitive failures and tracking recommendation closure
• Supports living processes (RCM/RBI/RIS/ACA tools) by participating in studies, review sessions and highlights study recommendation effectiveness in the field and triggers for re-validations as well as identifies asset that are qualified for reliability assessment
• Publish Reliability monthly reports which includes Plant reliability/performance KPI’s
• Play key role in driving the Unit’s reliability business plan
• Maintaining Unit’s reliability data base which includes all the Reliability events, their contribution in terms of production and cost and producing Reliability Analysis report to top level management
• Act as a change agent to promote a Reliability culture through building awareness of Reliability tools to front liners by sharing flash cards, success stories, reliability campaigns etc.
Major Achievements:
• Successfully implemented “Reliability Management Framework Project” across SADAF plants
• Reduced and sustaining Site Unplanned production losses to 50% (from 13.5% to ~ 7.5% unplanned production losses per annum)
• Achieved “Best Reliable Plant Award” by SADAF board of directors for the year 2015 & 2016
• Achieved and sustaining ~ 20% of maintenance cost savings (cost of avoidance) per plant per annum through promoting and coaching front liners on proactive reliability culture
Studies courses as per curriculum: Reliability Engineering Maintenance Engineering Reliability Estimation and Life testing RCM/ FRACAS / FMEA / RCA etc
