Managing Account Payable

•Manage asset capitalization & Record Additions, Transfers, Adjustments and Retirements of fixed assets
•Responsible for monitoring payments to third party suppliers and ensure compliance with DANS policies
•Resolves disputes, discrepancies and uncertainties concerning invoices and payments
•Evaluate the section activities through the use of standard process methodologies and recommend/implement enhancements & continually review the division’s service provision to ensure resources are being used effectively
•Manage all activities required to ensure an accurate period end closing
•Managing DANS financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems, producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
•Manage the general ledger, subsidiary ledgers and related account reconciliations (and external accounts statements) to substantiate and ensure the accuracy of account balances
•Implement and maintain chart of accounts and ensures the implementation of relevant general ledger and account level controls such as segregation of duties
•Maintain the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all financial transactions
•Manage and lead the General Accounting, Accounts Payable and fixed assets function & approving all manual journal, invoices, payments & intercompany transactions in accordance with the Matrix of Financial Authorities

•Responsible for monitoring payments to third party suppliers to ensure compliance with Dubai Airports policies and in coordination with Manager Treasury to ensure funds are available
•Ensures accuracy, integrity and quality of all payments made and ensure adherence to agreed service levels related to Accounts Payable.
•Verifies invoices and requisitions for goods and services, Reconciles supplier statements and adjusts accounts as appropriate
•Liaises and interfaces with internal departments to resolve issues and determines methods for expediting priority payments.
•Manage & handle any dispute, discrepancies and uncertainties concerning invoices and payments, including the monitoring of service levels to customers and internal operating departments to ensure best possible service.
•Accountable for the maintenance and administration of accounts payable databases, analyzes.
