Direct and monitor medium and major projects (NGL and Sulphur) Initiation, Planning, Monitoring & Controlling, Execution, Closeout, and Handover to End-User.
Utilise the project management techniques implemented in a progressive organisation that requires well-experienced quality engineering and offers opportunities for advancement.
Lead HAZOP, P&ID, SIL, PHSER, EIA and HSE exercises of preparation and participation for the assigned projects during Define and Execute stages.
Example of projects: carried out DEFINE and EXECUTE phases for EPC awarded projects:
- “Upgradation Of Ethane Flow Meter Skids”.
- “Potable Water Network Replacement”.
- “MCC Panels & LV Switchgears Upgrade”.
Perform Management Of Change (MOC) plant revamps and upgrades projects.
Perform minor in-house projects following introducing a merging strategy for plant change requests (projects).
Support and develop the team’s performance throughout project stages, from initiation to close-out.
Performed digitisation projects of Engineering Database Management System (SmartPalnt®) plant database digitisation transformation, Laser scanning, 3D modelling and As-Built.
Involve in reviewing FEED documents and providing comments based on maintenance and operations expertise. During EPC, participate in review and supervision of Contractor detailed engineering submissions and compliance with the approved IFC FDS and design packages.
Participate in SIL, P&ID, HAZOP and value engineering reviews FAT, IFAT & SAT based on the End-user requirement and in-depth plant knowledge and experience.
Monitor all control and Instrumentation activities and ensure seamless control systems integration with existing facilities with no disruption or production loss. Provide on-job training for UAE Nationalization to meet Competency-Based Training programs.
Set up plans for implementing and executing the company’s core business plans.
Prepare Scope of Works (SOW) for plant upgrade Projects and Contracts,
Preparation of Specifications and Tender documents. Evaluate Contractors’ tender documents and provide the bids with technical evaluation.
Focal point Engineer for the ongoing upgrade projects and contracts.
Preparation of Procedures and update of documents and procedures as well.
Senior instruments engineer in charge of central instruments engineering maintenance disciplines; workshop, system DCS, Fire and Gas, QMI’s and telecommunication.
Develop Plant Changes Requests and ensure implementation, works execution and completion. Provide Shutdown Shopping Lists (SSL) for planned equipment major overhauls.
Detailed Engineering and & Projects:
Site visits/Site visit reports, pre-tender visits, man-hour estimates, project/engineering coordination etc.
Review and approve instrument datasheets and the as-built drawings in liaison with the site-based
construction, operations, and maintenance personnel.
Provide on-site instrument and Control engineering consultation during construction, pre-commissioning & commissioning stages.
Witness and signoff construction activities completed, including functional loop checks, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of the new systems.
Shuweihat Water Transmission Scheme
Review, approve and follow up issued for constructions (IFCs) and ensure execution and implementation of installations in accordance with the approved standards, procedures, and method statements.
Involve in pre-commissioning, trial operation, commissioning stages and handing-over to end-user (TRANSCO).
Review, evaluate and liaise with Client on Contractor’s material submittals, design schemes, logic & control diagrams, and shop drawing.
Liaise with Client’s Operation and Maintenance Division for final approval.
Utilise M&E Contract work program implementation and ensure the smooth running of consecutive, parallel, and overlapping activities.
Furnish quality management procedures through dedicated formats and application steps.
Prepare M&E monthly progress reports and correspondence letters to Clients and Contractors.
Leading Instruments maintenance team activities and support operations on-call 24/7.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
