1. Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers to generate or work on discipline deliverables and
drawings.
2. Responsible for the schedule and budget performance of the electrical team .
3. Responsible for the technical integrity of the discipline’s work performed under my direction and for the
observance of project HSE requirements relevant to team’s work scope.
4. Works and coordinates with other discipline lead engineers to ensure correct implementation of the
electrical design and its intent. Participates in formal design reviews and meetings to meet this obligation.
5. Provide guidance on the preparation of electrical design calculations, lighting calculations load flow
calculations, cable ampacity and volt drop calculations.
6. Prepare electrical equipment and bulk materials specifications and prepare material purchase requisitions
and perform technical evaluations of bidders’ responses.
7. Provide support to Const. Dept. Review construction shop drawings and materials submittals, technical
queries as required plus attending site visits and inspections
8. Participate in design meetings and provide continual input to optimize design and minimize futile work.
9. Assist in developing Design Delivery Schedule along with client, Project Manager, Design Managers and
consultants.
10. Develop comprehensive scope-of-work and contract document deliverables list for each related discipline.
11. Negotiate scope-of-work, deliverable and price with consulting firms.
12. Manage distribution and production of project workload within team.
13. Participate in departmental strategic planning.
14. Provide technical guidance to electrical engineers.
15. Coordinate transmission and distribution of Saudi Electric Company (SEC) specifications, standards and
practices and comments into project design documents. Ensure consistency of design reviews for all
electrical designs.
16. Have experience in the design of Infrastructure/industrial/residential electrical power systems of LV and MV
(400V-34.5kV)

Estimation :
1. Build up the cost estimates by analyzing the materials and labor needed .

5. Value engineering studies Based on Clients budget constraints for any specific project.
6. Delegating Draftsmen for quantity take offs, cross checking quantities.

8. Helping in preparing Pre-Qualification documents, standards & project specific questionnaires
• Full responsibility for all conceptual and detail design of electrical HV/ MV/LV reticulation and distribution systems including associated switch gear and protection with relation to mining and minerals & metals processing plants.
• Electrical system engineering: including generating SLD’s, calculations, equipment sizing, electrical schematics, bill of materials, cable schedules, technical specification write-ups and technical evaluation of the suppliers for station service HV, MV & LV switchgears, Transformers, MCC’s, Panel boards, Grounding & Lighting,
• Undertaking tender process-issuing through to clarification, adjudication, recommendation and contract award.
• Technical clarifications and design review with the suppliers to assure compliance with the design requirements.
• Client/Contractor liaisons, coordinate all the necessary technical requirements of the project in all aspects (engineering, documentation, detail design, data requirements, etc.)
• Construction monitoring, cost control and assistance with commissioning.
• Supervise and direct a team of engineers, designers and support personnel
• Interact with all engineering disciplines, construction project managers, and clients
