Major Responsibilities:
- Deputies for resident engineer
- Review contractor‘s shop drawings and method statements in accordance to contract documents and site conditions.
- Supervise site inspection staff.
- Monitor the contractor’s compliance with the requirements of safty plan and HSE.
- Participate in contract administration.
- Ensure conformity of materials used by contractor site with approved submittals.
- Provide all necessary on-site direction and issue site instructions, None Acceptance Notice
(NAN) and None Acceptance Report (NCR) in coordination with R.E.
- Supervising the execution of the electrical works in accordance with contract terms to ensure that the contractor complies with the contract terms and conditions and that he delivers constructional services to the required level.
- Supervising and monitoring contractor's performance to ensure that compliance with equipment s and instruments installation is always achieved and that necessary measures are always taken to maintain the safety and integrity of all employs & assets.
- Submission to RE of recommendations for improvement of work methods and techniques
July 2000 - to - date: Electrical Engineer - Member of the team managing Mafraq Wastewater Treatment Works O& M Contract, Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC)
(Mafraq WTW was under Abu Dhabi Municipality and has become part of ADSSC since its formation on June 2005)
Major Responsibilities: ❖ Supervising the execution of the electrical maintenance works in accordance with CMMS as specified in the O & M Contract of Mafraq Wastewater Treatment Works (Mafraq WTW) to ensure that the Contractor complies with the Contract terms and conditions and that he delivers maintenance services to the required level.
❖ Supervising and monitoring O & M Contractor's performance to ensure that Compliance with preventive maintenance, of electrical equipment and instrumentation, is always achieved and that necessary measures are always taken to maintain the safety and integrity of all employees & assets.
❖ Follow up electrical maintenance activities carried out through third party.
❖ Direct involvement with the O&M in case of emergencies to ensure that wastewater treatment will not be disrupted.
❖ Assist the Head of maintenance Section in reviewing local quotations submitted by O&M Contractor, for carrying out additional electrical works.
❖ Review of the O&M Contractor's weekly, monthly, and annual reports and make recommendation of the appropriate decision to the Head of Maintenance Section.
❖ Monthly reports, to the Head of Maintenance Section.
❖ Submission, to the Head of Maintenance Section, of recommendations for the improvement of work methods and techniques.
❖ Participating in commissioning of the new/rehabilitated works and their handing over to the O&M Contractor.
❖ Any other responsibilities delegated by the head of Maintenance Section.
Dec 1983 to June 2000: Electrical Engineer, Mafraq WTW, Abu Dhabi Municipality (During this period, O&M of Mafraq WTW was directly performed by Municipality staff)Major Responsibilities: ❖ PMR for 11 Kv (oil &Silicon) Transformers up to 2000 KVA.
❖ PMR for 11 Kv substations switch gear (Oil, SF 6, and Vacuum Breakers) and Protection Relays (electro magnet and electronic)
❖ PMR for 415v Substations switch gear (Air Circuit Breaker) and Protection Relays (electro magnet and electronic)
❖ PMR for UPS used in control circuit and generators starting.
❖ CMR for control circuits and Breakers used in HV & LV controls of different types of pump starters and chlorine dosing system.
❖ PMR for instruments used to measure flow, Level, PH, DO, MLSS, Salinity, Turbidity, Pressure Temperature, Mass, Chlorine residual and manufactured by Kent, Honeywell, Hydro ranger, E&H and Wallace & Ternein.
❖ Operation & maintenance of 11Kv stand by Generators each 2325 KVA.
❖ Preparation of annual spare budget and participation in procurement process.
❖ Involvement in commissioning and taking over of new works (Mafraq phase II WTW, Gantoot WTW 1&2, Delma WTW, AL khatm WTW)
