Lead the development of applications including ensuring
their timely delivery in order to translate the business needs to
the corresponding IT tools and applications.
• Overseeing major activities pertaining to the installation,
configuration and up-gradation of Products.
• Evaluating organizational requirements and establishing
security/database policies to assure acceptable levels of data
backup and recovery.
• Maintaining database systems, recommending upgrades,
troubleshot system issues and maintained a recovery plan for
the same.
• Organizing regular system checks to ensure optimum
system performance and appropriate levels of database
security. Monitored system performance reports for
anomalies/implemented immediate remedial measures.
• Managing the overall configuration of application server for
various applications/systems.
• Contribute to the development of the overall IT strategy by
providing the input and plans in line with the overall business
objectives.
• Ensure that the overall IT strategy is translated into IT
Business Applications plans and targets and monitor
performance during the course of the year.
• Budgets and plans: Develop the IT Applications budget as per
operational needs and in line with Group's budgeting
guidelines and monitor actual expenditure against the
approved budget to ensure that the business is aware of
anticipated costs and that corrective actions are taken.
• Manage applications related coordination with third-party
vendors if required in order to perform system support
activities efficiently and effectively in accordance with
business requirements.
• Maintain systems documentation relating to systems
development and enhancements to ensure accurate record
keeping and reference for training and facilitating future
updates.
Ascertained completion of all project phases as per required
business/ technical specifications and insured all quality assurance
standards are complied with.
• Monitored KPIs to identify business problems and provided
recommendations to the upper management for addressing
probable shortcomings thus enhancing business productivity.
• Collated/ analyzed data from oracle system and ensured accurate
maintenance of data.
• Resolved any unexpected technical difficulties, identified
bottlenecks/ effected systems reengineering.
• Developed the entire system and provided regular business
intelligence reports for the upper management in order to keep
them abreast of the project progress.
• Provided training to the users for operating the system and
ensured all training standards are adhered to.
Implemented oracle financial modules for building and
managing databases. Coordinated testing and debugging
applications to ensure they meet company specification/
productive usage.
• Developed solutions based on agreed specifications throughout
the project phase for system design/ development subsequent to
client approval by liaising with project team members.
• Kept close tab of project progress whilst providing requisite
guidance to customers, prepared reports/ documents related to the
same for submittals to the Manager.
