Project: New Maternity Hospital Project, Al Sabah Medical Area - Kuwait.
This is $817 million (KWD 250 million) Turnkey project for Ministry of Health (MOH), with 5 years of maintenance.

Key Deliverable's:
• Worked on all levels of Tendering, Specification setting, Bidding, Negotiating, Contract Preparation and Handovers. The largest awarded was for 9 Million Kuwait Dinars (Approx. $28 Million).
• Prepare Presentations, Reports, Recommendation Letters, Letter of Intent for major Contracts and Tender proposals to the CEO, COO, CPO, regional CEO, Directors and Senior Management as per the process and when requested, with every level having a stipulated authorization capacity.
• Cost control for project budget (material & sub-contractor expenses) and working in tandem with the consulting team at McKinsey Italia.

Key Responsibilities:
• Market Survey, Local and International Sourcing, Select and Negotiate for the best deal /package, taking into consideration quality, price, payment terms, deliveries, services and maintenance.
• Connecting with suppliers to understand the competitive environment, the stability and sustainability of Organizations/ Firm/ Agency/ Manufacture.
• Support relevant Project Teams & Departments with quotations/specification writing, for the purpose of tendering and procuring.
• Prepare report analysis of material and price, for regular orders and calculate approximate cost for future budgeting.
• Review all packages prior to distribution to bidders and obtain approvals where ever necessary due to the tendency of the Job.
• Prepare comparison and cost analysis reports, related to supplier’s price, negotiated price, overall business of the supplier and its growth. Survey of their sites and office to understanding two factors Stability and Sustainability.
• Re-budgeting and Target setting, depending on Market conditions and availability of goods based on Project Time schedule and requirement.
• Request for quotations (RfQ), Request for Proposal (RfP), Purchase Orders (PO) and contract documents generated by other Contractors, Sub-contractors, Suppliers / Distributors, Manufactures, through all stages of the project.
• Collection of relevant documents on bases of the contract agreement for verifications & understanding the stability and sustainability of the organizations that we would like to partner with.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Supplier performance report based on purchase, delivery, service and solution provider.
• To assist on claims for discrepancy and damages, arising on certain consignment that was received.
• SharePoint is the software used for the inventory management and purchasing.
• Recommend, develop and/or implement best practices/improvements for project procurement policies and procedures.

Highlights:
Savings of around a million done through strategic sourcing and negotiations. The highest value contract closed is 9 million Kuwait Dinars.
