Following two previously failed attempts I successfully program managed a series of Oracle implementation and process improvement / re-engineering projects to upgrade the systems portfolio and improve the M.I.S. reporting of a leading Islamic bank (Business Intelligence, Budgeting and Planning, Risk Manager for Asset & Liability Management) . Re-engineered procure-to-pay process, recommended reducing the number of operational General Ledgers from four to one. Streamlined the straight through processing of all Feeder Systems to the Oracle Financials Data Manager to eliminate suspense account postings and manual entries, implemented auto-reconciliation of suspense accounts. Led the Oracle Financials Insight program and promoted the introduction of Master Data Management product suite and Accounting Hub. A recommendation to re-organize the CFO function to be Product centric was adopted. Participated in a PeopleSoft recovery project to guide an organisation through a troublesome, but ultimately successful, year end. This was essential for the survival of the organisation as their previous year's audit report contained some qualified statements. Avoided a perceived requirement for multiple AP Accounting Entry Templates by providing an alternative design solution. Functional lead for a full life cycle implementation of PeopleSoft's Travel and Expenses module. This project took only 3 months from sign-off of the High Level Scope document to full implementation of the Production system. Client is now a PeopleSoft reference site for this module. Solved a data input volume problem to PeopleSoft Accounts Payable by analysing the data value and volume levels. Recommended that the client rationalise their procure-to-pay process. Solved a Process Scheduling run-time problem by analysing run times over a period and identified a database fragmentation problem which resulted in a database reorganisation.
