Ensuring that contractor(s) compliance with the standards and specifications of the contract documents through observations, measurements, and testing. Assured the quality are maintained. Undertake all site supervision and inspections as required by the Resident Engineer (RE) or the Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE). Liaise and daily follow up with the contractor to ensure the contractor is managing its resources, health and safety, and equipment needs on the site. Performed daily field inspections for asphalt roads (Major roads of port 31.8KM), cement bound material (570 sq. KM.)
Inspected construction site processes such as earthworks, concrete in situ/pre-cast, mass concrete, asphalt pavement material. Ensure inspection records and project Quality documents will be maintained according to the project execution plan. Ensures compliance on project assignment and reported findings to Project Manager. Ensure construction compliance to contract specifications and drawings and Environment Health & Safety (EHS) requirements prior to client inspection. Implemented and enforced company safety programs. Perform inspection and tests on all civil & structural and oversee all testing methods and maintain high standards of quality for all process. Review and approve Subcontractor Quality Control Plans, Inspection Test plans and procedures. Ensure that all necessary quality records are identified and maintain in accordance with client requirements.
Supervised/coordinated with eight (8) contractor Engineers/Managers to assure that work done safely & met the project requirements and complying with the specifications. Projects are Oil and Gas Pipeline and Well Head, Sulfur Recovery, 115KV Substation, Control Building and Sewage Treatment Plant. Implemented Quality Assurance & Quality Control, performed field investigations of reported problems and provided viable solutions, made technical and process recommendations to Project Quality Manager. Implemented and enforced company safety programs. Reviews submitted contractor’s method of statements, contract programmed, QA/QC procedures and Health and Safety compliance. Raise Pro-active notification, Surveillance and Non conformance in Quality Management Information System (QMIS). Attend pre-inspection meeting with subcontractors prior to the start of new activity to clarify inspection requirements, plans and procedures. Implemented and enforced work schedule.
