*Prepare conceptual mechanical design and coordinate with mechanical design team to produce the drawings within the deadlines.
*Ensure thorough documentation of studies and design decisions.
*Monitor mechanical design teams to accomplish the tasks within the schedule.
*Create component part numbers and prepare BOM’s &purchasing specs.
*Coordinate as a team with production & procurement.
*Audit engineering records database
*Provide best possible technical support for company profit.
*Check and comment customers ’s specs and do contract review.
*To understand, comply and maintain the procedures associated with ISO 9001.
*Attend management meetings as necessary.
*Check and prove engineering deliverable.
*Coordinate with electrical design team to accomplish the task.
*Coordinate with equipment controller to get the necessary information.
*Review of P & ID’s, Piping Plans and Isometric Drawings
Monitoring the QA/QC documentation of contractors and ensure that all the activities are incorporated to their system on daily basis and can be traced according to our requirements
*Ensure that pipe supports, Hangers & guides have been installed in accordance with the piping drawings and the pipe support details.
*Assist in daily operations
*Maintain equipment
*To grind and do applicable NDT if found any defects on the base metals.
*To check the fit-up before welding for root gap, root face and bevel preparation as per the WPS.
*Responsible to review and confirm as-built drawings for all fabricated pipes and tanks, and submit as-built to engineering for documentation.
*Checking dimensions of materials to ensure that they are in compliance with requirement on thickness of plates/pipes.
*Coordinating with Third party inspection in welding process and testing.
*Witnessing the inspection of Ultrasonic, Magnetic particle and Penetrant Testing methods according to different codes and standards
To carry out the documentation part for all the Inspection with the results and remarks
*Monitoring Welding activities, Material, Piping Inspection and related documentation.
*Preparation of inspection reports and verification of test reports
*Coordinating with client inspection at various of fabrication and erection activities
*Preparing the punch list items as per P & ID and Isometric such as, Pipe supports, Valves, Guides, Shoe supports and NDT completion and approving/ releasing packages for hydro test.
*Monitoring Welding activities as per WPS
*Review of approved WPS and PQR.
*Provide technical assistance to subordinate level workers
